Wow, the last day of the month, the end of the middle of the year and tomorrow starts the beginning of the second 1/2 of the year. Six months till Christmas.

So my last day of the week, my Friday and a busy day it was too. I really don't know what all I did today, lol. I was all over the place. Set up interviews for Tina this morning. Watched the window, helped were needed. I really was very busy and all over the place today. Not in my office much at all. Jesse one of the grill cooks finally after weeks and actually months of ignoring that he was on the schedule to take PAR tests showed up today. He took both his PAR tests, his 3 in Dish and after 8 months of working in grill when he should be taking his 3 in grill finally took his PAR 1. He's one of those who really needs to just go away.

Mani is on vacation for a week. Yee haw. I was shift leader tonight and we were busy, busy, busy. We pulled a funny on two of the newbies tonight. I have to tell you this is really funnier when you hear it in person but I will try to relay what happened.

Our coffee machines that brew our coffee also have hot water spigots on them. Well I asked these two girls if they'd drain the hot water out of the machine cause we need to clean out the old water and get new watqer in them. So how do you do that, well you pull that spigot and drain the water into a pitcher and just dump it into the sink. Ok, and of course Clifton explains that we need to clean them with a chemical and draining the water helps clean it out.

So here they are draining the water from the machine. We are all but rolling trying to keep a straight face. One of them asks me if the water will get cooler, I told her oh yeah when it starts to get to the end the water will get cooler and you'll know when your close to being done. Now to explain the water is boiling when it comes out. Her reply as I walked out the door was "this will take me all night". It was so hard to keep a straight face. I asked Sam when I got out in the dinning room, how long do you think we should let them go. ROFLMAO

So back into the kitchen, at the middle of the alley with each girl on each end of the alley, Sam, Lauren and I are talking about what they're doing and laughing and just can't keep a straight face, Joel comes in and we try to get him involved and he knew that you can't drain all the water it's on a line. LOL So we start laughing and we tell the girls that they can stop. They were starting to get the idea it was a joke. Seriously it's so funny to watch them fill up pitcher after pitcher of hot water and dump it. We did the same to another server Taylor the other day and bless his heart he probably went on for 15 minutes before I walked up to him and asked him what he was doing? Of course it was some of the servers who got him started when Fred and I realized what they'd done. It was soooooo funny. They were all great sports about it. I told the girls tonight that it's just a way of saying welcome to the team. We like you if we pull that prank.

Left work at 8 and booked home to change clothes and head to La Rue's Mary Kay party. Got home at 10 and cleaned off all the make up and then Robert and I watched Burn Notice at 10:30.

So there ya go. All in all it was a good day just really busy. When I left I have 4 people lined up for orientation next week, could have a couple of more after they interview the ones I lined up for them tomorrow. I'm off Friday and Saturday this weekend so I don't have to worry about the next two days. I will have to work Sunday though and then I get Monday off, gonna do orientation Tuesday & Wednesday this next week.

Tuesday, spent my day mostly doing office work, I'm really excited that I'm catching up on over 2 months worth of work. Not having an orientation this week has been very nice for me. I got all the employee's updated in the CAI computer. By updating that means changing the PAR status on those who have PAR'd up, making sure they have the right name in the name box for aprons, adding in my newest trainers. All in all cleaning house. LOL I had two course on my to do list and got them both done. So I am once again 100% complete. I was looking at the # of courses I've had to do since I was hired almost 6 years ago compared to those who were hired at the same time, I've completed 108 courses compared to the others who've been with us as long as I have their # is 60 or less. So is it any wonder that when some one questions my knowledge of how something should be done I get a little testy. Hmmm.

Got all my computer work caught up, got the newest set of evals written and assigned to the managers. Called the newest set of applicants and scheduled them for interviews, faxed back ground checks off. Called all the employees at 2 who was scheduled to do the Food Handlers class at 3 to make sure they hadn't forgotten and to be in uniform. Was ready for Angel by 2:30 who was coming from the Health Dept. to do the Food Handlers class. She arrived around 2:45. Found out about 5 minutes till she arrived that we were having extra's coming over from Taco Cabana. Mani said 10 people, he's such an exaggerater. Angel said only 4 and 3 showed. All mine showed but 1. The class was from 3 to 5. We set a date for the next class in 3 weeks. I left work around 5:30 and headed home for the night.

Robert has gotten the parts to fix the trailer yesterday and had an appointment with Dr. Daniels about his knee, found out they may just need to replace his knee cap instead of the whole knee. Mind you this is the knee that he's already had 3 surgeries on since 1983. They have to do an MRI to find out more.

Didn't do much once I got home just vegged and watched Deadliest Catch and After the Catch. I did have run out and take something over to Stephanie. Left around 9:15 and back home by 9:40. Watched the news and tried to watch recorded tv and started falling asleep so I was in bed by midnight. I was tired. LOL

Wednesday morning got up and ready for work at 7 feeling like I had rested, that's a good thing. LOL. My day at work started with a quick visit with Mike and updating him on some issues. Printed a copy of the schedule so that I could do my part with it. Sat down in the dinning room to watch while I worked on the schedule. I sat in the dinning room because Mike had an interview and then a conference call so I needed to be able to be available. When he became available again I went to Tina's office to make the changes to the schedule, getting people added and removed for meetings & CAI(PAR tests) Mike got a few of his evals finally done so I was able to schedule those for their PAR tests. Helped out in the window for a bit. Talked with Peggy in retail for a while since we haven't seen one another in like forever. Then needed to be in the window again for a while cause Mani let Jennifer leave instead of going on to grill at 3, so now we are with out a grill cook, Mike got a hold of Dakota and he was there in no time. Thank heavens cause Mani on the grill sucks. He had no tickets but couldn't leave the grill to do his interview at 3. even though he wasn't up on the grill when the girl arrived. Mike did the interview at 3:20 and had me set her up with a second with Fred. Mike started his rising star meeting at 3:30, I think they all showed. I think didn't have a chance to check the list, will do that tomorrow. Needless to say I jetted around 4:30. Didn't want to have to deal with Mani any more today. He had everyone up set. Didn't do a proper chart for my back-up cook, so told DJ just to do what he knows needs to be done. He cooked a ticket had everything long time done and didn't get the french toast done. So he and Oran were going at it. He told one of my 3:00 servers she couldn't work until she talked to Mike because of a guest issue she had last night. Which was ridiculous. He's such an idiot and likes to think that he's in charge of everything as well as knows it all. He actually spoke to Angel the Health Dept lady yesterday before she started her class to tell her what she should talk about including talking to our employees about the cleanliness of their uniforms. SERIOUSLY. She just rolled her eyes. Thank heavens he's gone for a week on vacation. But then we still have to deal with Shawn although I have to say he's not nearly as bad as Mani. He's bad, he's also an idiot but at least he knows what needs to be done most of the time.

Well there ya have it folks. My last two days. Dealing with moron managers and upset employees. My day to day existence at work. I love it when Mike and Fred are the managers. Oh well. One day I wont have to deal with any of them. LOL

Niki's birthday today. She turned 22, all my kiddo's are grown. How did that happen?? I really don't feel like I'm pushing 50. Hmm, it's all a state of mind right?

Well I did not have orientation today, no new rising stars this week. Yeah, got my DM report done but that was about the only thing. I had started working on it when I got called to help. We'd been dead all morning then all of a sudden we got slammed. So I got in the window and started doing what needed to be done so that the servers could take care of guests. Fred was in a mood today. He's really starting to annoy me as much as the other managers. Was surprised when I was happy that Dustin had put in his two week notice - I said why not, he doesn't do anything when he is here, we have plenty of hosts who want to work and do a better job. I like Dustin but his heart isn't in it, he doesn't rotate the servers, he does as little as possible.

I'll call people tomorrow to set up more interviews, we need a grill cook, fired one this weekend. Lost a server also. Rummor has it he came into an inheritance so figured he'd quit his job, no call, no show. $200 K will go so far ya know. LOL

Left work just before 3 so that I could get home and do some cleaning, cook Niki's birthday cake and help Robert do dinner. We had the girls all coming over, Niki & Randy brought Katina with them. Steph & Amanda but no Jason he was at work. Glen & La Rue also made it. Robert made Penne Rustica, garlic bread and I made a salad. I had my smoked chicken and steamed Lemon ginger asparagus, which was very good. Would loved to have had the really fattening Penne but I didn't. Doing very good on my diet, back into the 180's, lost almost 20 lbs. Got till the 14th of July then I'll take my 3 week break and do another 21 days after that. I hope to be around 150 or below by my birthday or at least end of August.

We all had a nice dinner then of course the cake and presents. All was good. We all watched Pawn Stars and after 8 everyone left except Glen & La Rue and we watched Faster. Good movie. So it's almost midnight, yeah me for getting my blog caught up. lol

Got a long day tomorrow, lol I have to work 8:30 to 5:30. Not to bad, hopefully I'll get more accomplished tomorrow than I did today.

Well I did absolutely NOTHING today. LOL Woke up around 8 when Robert did but I rolled over and went back to sleep. Oh yeah. Didn't get up until about 10:45. When I got up Robert wasn't at home but I didn't know that until I came out to the living room. I'd been in the living room about 2 minutes when he walked in the door from Walmart. Not long after that Stephanie walked in the door as Robert and I were talking about that Amanda was supposed to be here early this morning so he could work on her car and she wasn't. Then a couple of minutes after that Amanda and Jason came in. Robert had to wait a while for the car to cool down before he could do what he needed to do. We sat around watching recorded tv and about 1/2 way into the show Mary Lou comes over and we spend about 2 hours visiting. I helped her set up a yahoo account and yahoo chat so that she can chat with a new guy she's met online who lives in Minnesota. Helped her re-establish her facebook, she'd let it laps cause she was getting all sorts of other peoples stuff and so I fixed her settings. All is good for her now. LOL

Fixed up some chicken and shrimp for Robert to cook in the smoker, yummy. We watched some Battlestar Galactica killed time till 8 then watched the premier of Leverage and then Falling Skies. Fixed up my fruit & meat for the week and now I'm watching True Blood.

So that's my day. Ya'll have a great week, not sure how mine is gonna play out till tomorrow. When I left on Thurs we hadn't hired anyone but that might have changed. If I don't have a class then I'll work on catching up more on all the things I've needed to do since coming back from my surgery. Plus I need to do my end of month DM report which I forgot to do Thursday, actually ran out of time that day. So I do have to get that done and sent in tomorrow.

Tomorrow is also Niki's 22nd birthday and Kali will be 2 in a month from tomorrow.

Another wonderful day off and away from work. Got up around 8 and got dressed and drove into Weatherford to get my hair trimmed and a pedicure. Went to Walmart to get what I forgot yesterday. Got home found the hot rollers but no pins, cause I wanted to curl my hair for our dinner party last night. Called the girls found out that at some point in time they'd been thrown away. So I called Sally's in Weatherford they carry replacements but were out, called Sally's in White Settlement and they had two packages left, so headed that away and bought em. Came home and Amanda was here so had her help me roll my hair. We went to dinner with some friends and had a nice evening. Got home around 12:30 and crashed. So you can see not a very exciting day but relaxing for me. God bless you all, take care.

Day one of my 3 day weekend, what did I do? LOL

I got up early, headed to the hospital here in Weatherford for a CT scan, Dr. Teal requested it, so that's what I did first thing this morning. Left the hospital went to Walmart to get some groceries. From there went to Cracker Barrel to pick up the last $15 from one of the servers who is signed up for the Food Handlers Class on Tues. Had breakfast at CB. Went to Target to look at their nail polishes, looking for a good red color, found it. LOL Stopped in at Ross and found another pair of Carlos Santana's. Nice pair of shoes - I gotta say so very nice to get an 90$ pair of shoes for under $20 especially when their Carlos'. I think that makes my 3rd pair now. For those of you who may not know this about me - listen, lean close - I'm addicted to shoes, not just any shoe, but nice heals, stiletto's mostly. I LOVE SHOES. I have probably close to 200 pairs of shoes. What's wonderful is my husband helps feed my habit. He buys me some of the best shoes. Do I wear them? You bet I do. Ok, moving on. LOL after Ross I headed to the other side of the highway back up to the court house to pay for the FH class. Got that done and headed home, unloaded my purchases and got them scanned, painted my nails and chilled out for the rest of the day. Did absolutely nothing for the rest of the day and evening. LOL it's been nice. So I'm gonna head to bed now, ya'll have a great weekend. God Bless and keep you.

Thursday - my Friday, yeah. Got to work early and got some paper work & computer work caught up on. Had two of the RS's come in to do their micros. Watched the dinning room for Mike for awhile. It really wasn't an exciting day. Switched to shift leader at 3 and Mani had interviews while Mike was on a conference call. After Mike's call I had checked on the food for the night so that we wouldn't run out of Turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole or anything else since Mani was the night manager. We seem to run out every time he's manager. We had one pan of sweet potato casserole left, a pan of dressing in the oven cause we were out and a guest was having to wait 20 minutes for his turkey dinner because of the dressing. Mike had cooked 2 extra turkey's so all we'd have to do is slice them. I told Mike about the sweet potato's he had me tell Mani to tell DJ to make more. Mani wasn't too happy about that but oh well. He's such an idiot about some things. I was so mad at him by the time I left last night. He just that irritating. Got home a little after 9 and changed, chilled on the couch and Robert & I watched the premier of Burn Notice. I ended up falling asleep on the couch which is why I didn't get this posted last night. Tuesday & Wednesday, 21st & 22nd of June 2011

Tuesday, hmmmm. Well I started my day getting my new hires stared on the computer and menu's class. Got that all done. Did some paper work and had to leave at 3:30 for my dental appointment at 4. Got to the dental office at 3:45 and still had to wait till 10 after. LOL, it wouldn't have been so bad but I still needed to get to Walmart to pick up a couple of things to finish the pasta salad for Keno at 7. Finally got out of the dentist office around 5:15, needing to replace one of my crowns to the tune of around 650$'s and I can get the second one done at the reduced price of 530$, wooo whooo.

Headed to Walmart as quick as I could, took the molded bread back that I had bought on Sat, exchanged it and got the things I needed, rushed home, ran in and grabbed a change of clothes throwing them into a bag, grabbing all the bags & trays of food and loading them up into the truck while Robert washed down extra chairs for me to load up as well. Home all of 15 minutes and then back on the road to La Rue's. She kindly offered up her home as the venue for ScrapKeno last night, Stephanie was hostess but I really ended up doing it. She did make all the desserts. We had 18 people for Keno last night, it was as always a blast.

I actually won something in the first round but it was promptly stolen in the second round, coming home with nothing, although Miss La Rue did win two or three things and shared some of hers with me. Thanks girl friend.

Didn't get home till almost 11 after cleaning up things at La Rue's. Got the truck unloaded, food put away with Robert's help, changed clothes, took off my make up and pretty much kissed Robert good night. Then I chilled out in the living room for a bit playing on FB.

Wednesday - had the first 2 1/2 hours at work to myself to get caught up on computer stuff in my office before I needed to watch the floor at 11 and had two of my rising stars come in and get on the computers. Mike had a conference call at 11 with Al and Mike, so I had to watch the store. LOL Wished we had been busier, so slow today. Got to get back to what I needed to do around 12:30, went through aps, checked snag a job and printed those. Called applicants to set them up for interviews, called snag a job aps to have them come in and fill out a real ap.

Ate my lunch around 2:30 then worked on the schedule to get those in who need to PAR as well as making sure the Rising Stars are on the schedule for the Wednesday RS meeting, and checked on those signed up to attend the Health card class on Tuesday next week are on the schedule. Got my supplies from retail that came in on the retail truck. Some of the new aprons came in and got some of them ironed and passed out to employee's who were there.

Left work around 6:20, headed to the dry cleaners to pick up my shirt and then home to veg.

So there ya have it, the past two days. Exciting. LOL not really. Keno was a blast though.

Till tomorrow, which will be another long day for me, another 12 hour Thursday, shift leading with Mani.

Well it's a Monday. LOL Not a bad day. Had orientation with 5 people, 3 servers, a host and a retail. A short day, got them through day one and into the computer, only on the schedule till 3 today. Nice for me. LOL

That particular grill cook who received a write up from Tina the other day for not wearing a beard guard worked today and guess what? Again no beard guard, before I left I told Lynda she needed to let Tina know cause Lynda was the one working with him. When I left she had gone to talk to Tina so not sure what happened if anything. Let's hope so. I'll be disappointed if nothing got done.

Oh when I came in this morning found out that we lost 2 employees for being no show's yesterday leaving the store in a terrible lurch on Father's Day. So I need to cross train 2 servers into Prep and we'll be looking for another Dish. So back on the phone this week lining interviews up again. Never ending.

Great lightening storm came through tonight, got some great pictures, you can see them on my facebook. Wished we'd gotten some rain to go with all the lightening, seriously it was an amazing show for a couple of hours, literally all around us.

Stephanie came home with me this afternoon cause when she went to put gas in her car this morning it came a deluge under her car. She left it at Racetrac and when we got to the house her and Robert went to get it. Apparently the seal had busted up around the neck. Robert got it fixed thank heavens. Let's hope she doesn't have any more car problems. 3 weeks in a row was enough she can't afford to loose the job she has just cause she keeps having car troubles. Pray that this car will last with out any major issues for a long long time. Poor Stephanie, I tell her if it wasn't for the bad luck she just wouldn't have any luck at all.

So Stephanie and I got most the food done &/or prepped up for tomorrow night's Keno. That's it for my day. Ya'll have a great week.

Happy Father's Day to all you guys out there. We had a nice lazy day, stayed in, to hot to go out side. Robert and I pretty much just vegged today, watching tv and playing on our lap tops. LOL

Robert did his laundry, I vacuumed. We watched Battlestar Galactica, believe it or not The Riffleman killing time till 8 then we watched Game of Thrones and then The Killing, both season finally's, bummer.

Niki called at 7 and woke us up to tell her Daddy Happy Father's Day. Robert got up, not me I slept till 9. Then Steph came by for a bit to give her Daddy his card and leave Amanda's key's & charger for her phone. Then alittle while later Amanda came by and brought her card to Robert. Then Justin called. All in all it was a good day.

Around 7:30 I cut Robert's hair and then we watched our shows. LOL

So there ya go. Our busy day. LOL

Had an awesome day today. Started off getting up early and making a run to Walmart to get stuff to make potato salad for tonight. Got the groceries home and scanned into my scanner - for about a year now I've been a part of a survey panel, you scan everything you buy and once a week I down load it to the site. After scanning I went out side to see what progress Robert was making on the trailer, he was working on the antenna and cleaning the out side of the air conditioners. Stepped in to the trailer it was nice and comfy. Kissed my honey bye and headed to Lake Worth to meet Cindy, Amanda & Stephanie to see The Green Lantern. Awesome, really good movie. Get ready for the sequel.

After the movie I met the twins at Chili's for some lunch and it took almost 40 min to get my food. I ordered a piece of grilled chicken with nothing on it, no oil, butter, spices or marinade. Server took the order right but when the chicken came out it was grilled and greasy. When asked how everything was I told them I couldn't eat my chicken could they send it bad and cook it the way I asked. The eventually sent out the kitchen manager and another manager. I explained I'm not trying to be picky and I'm terribly sorry, I do work in a restaurant and I know how it is but I'm on a very strict diet and I can't have any kind of oils or dressings. It needed to be grilled on a dry grill. Took then another 10 minutes. All I wanted was the chicken and a bowl of lettuce with onion. That took a while to get as well. Believe me I wanted to dig into the bottomless chips and salsa that the girls was eating but nooooooo, I did good. So now the cat's out of the bag. I'm on a diet, I started it two weeks ago yesterday, the 3rd of June. I've lost just shy of 15 lbs. So I'm hoping that by the middle of next week I'll be in the 180's.

Now when I left Chili's I needed to stop in at Hobby Lobby and check on something for La Rue - she wanted me to see if they had top hats. All they had were tiny 5" in width and about 2" in height hats for making dolls. So headed home. Got home a bit after 3, Robert had made the potato salad for me. Yeah. So we just chilled out until time to leave for Joshua at 5. We went down to my Dad's for dinner tonight. Had a little family get together. It was nice. Dad & Debbie, Amanda, Jason and Stephanie, then Robert, myself and Cindy, Kisty and 3 of her kiddo's then David and Caleb showed up. Of course wished I wasn't on a diet tonight. Dad smoked a brisket, grilled chicken, corn on the cob & cheese stuffed jalopeno's, the potato salad I made, baked beans. Then Kisty brought her banana pudding and Debbie made sopapilla cheese cake. But Cindy and I both did well, didn't eat anything we shouldn't had. Yes, she is on the same diet, she started back in March and has lost 43 lbs. Looking totally awesome too.

The rest of the evening we just visited and played with the kids. Left Dad & Debbies a bit before 9 and headed home. Dropped Cindy off at her place and we got home about 20 minutes later. Watched the news and now watching Chaos which I recorded while we were gone.

So there ya have it peps day two of my three days off. LOL

Thursday & Friday, 16th & 17th of June 2011

Thursday started so very early for me, had to be in Arlington at 8:45 for my 2nd follow up appointment with Dr. Teal to check on my recovery progress from my surgery. All is well, looking good don't need to see him again for 3 months. X-rays look good, just need to continue to be careful. No heavy lifting over my head, light exercise. After my appointment I headed back home to get ready for work. Got to work just after 11 and was busy right away. Had people finishing their computer work & micros, managers had interviews that I had set up. Two was hired, giving me 4 for orientation next week. Staying busy. I had to shift lead so at 3 switched over from ETC to SL and it was Fred and I, no Mani, he had a day off. So with Fred and I running the shift no major issues and we didn't run out of food. Go figure. There was one incident around 3:30/4. One of our grill cooks whom I'm always on about wearing a beard guard and he gives me so much trouble, refuses, gets snotty about it, so I've gotten to having the managers to tell him to put one on, when he does then he just wears it around his neck. I've asked them for months to write him up for it, nope they wont do it. So I see he doesn't have one on but I'm not gonna say a word, as I come around the server alley I see Tina - retail manager - getting a drink and I approach her and tell her we have a cook on the line with out a guard on. So shortly after I walk away she asks him to put a guard on and guess what he does, he tells her in his smart ass tone of voice, thinking he's being cute "you put on a beard guard", I can tell you that was the stupidest thing he could have ever done. I was at the office door and heard it and thought ohhh he did not just???? lol So now he's pissed her off, he told her no in her mind because he wanted to argue with her. He put one on and then she checked on him about 15 min later and it was around his neck and about this same time I came around the corner to find one of my servers in the prep window holding a plate of 1/2 eaten turkey & dressing dinner showing it to said grill cook telling him of a hair that the woman found on her turkey. I took the plate, asked the server what the lady wanted, if she wanted more or something else, she just wanted a dessert, told the server to split the dinner off the ticket. I then took the plate to the managers, Tina standing at the office door, Mike on a conference call and Fred had just come out of the office and was standing with Tina when I approached with the plate, showing Tina the hair which was obviously a beard hair. Needless to say she told Fred they'd better write him up. I went to the guest myself, expressed my sincere apologies, she was very kind and laughed saying she checked to make sure it wasn't one of hers but since her hair was gray and the hair was black she decided it wasn't. I explained that we were buying her dinner and the dessert as well. She was surprised and appreciative. When I spoke to Tina after the fact and explained that I have asked for months both for him to put on a guard and for managers to write him up she decided she'd take it into her hands, she did the write up since his behavior was right at insubordination. She wrote him up as a verbal, showed him the write up and his response was I didn't mean to make up mad I was only kidding. To little to late, she explained that if he has facial hair he has to wear a beard guard. The write up is a verbal but it is also a final that if it happens again he will be terminated. Thank you Lord, please let him do it again. He's one of those that one of my managers is in love with and gets away with murder. So it was after 9 PM before I could clock out and close to 10 before I got home. They close I-20 at 8 so it was one lane traffic on the access road between south Main and Santa Fe, they were working on the new bridge in between those two exits. So I got caught up in that and quickly took the next turn that runs behind Khol's and went back around and across the highway. Little longer which why it took me awhile to get home.

Friday - what a great day, the beginning of my 3 day weekend. Yee haw. Slept late, lol, got up around 9. Robert wanted to take Steph's old car to the wrecking yard and to go to the RV place, so I followed in his truck and picked him up at Eagle Mountain Salvage and we headed into Fort Worth. Went to the RV place to order replacement parts for the things we need to fix the boo boo's on the trailer. Got it all ordered bought a few things for the inside while there then headed to the base. We got the truck registered at the gate then headed in to the BX. There we bought some pots and pans for the trailer and some other things. Got home around 2 and chilled out for a while. Steph was here when we got home doing her laundry. I needed to run some errands so she came along. We went and dropped off my shirts at the cleaners and then to the bank and on to Walmart got a few things that Robert forgot on his run yesterday.

So Friday night, wooo whoo, big plans. Not, lol, we chilled out and watched Beverly Hills Cop 3 which I really don't believe I ever saw, big surprise. LOL

We've watched the news and now we're starting netflix on the PS3 to see what movies might be on there.

Hump day for most, 2 days before I have the whole weekend. LOL

Thursday will be my Friday. Today I had 2 on the computer right off the bat at 9, it was nice to have about 3 1/2 hours to do some things I needed to get done, going through appllications, running back ground checks and then calling these people to line them up for interviews. Got all that done just as 2 of servers showed up at 12:30 to do menu's & plate presentation. My grill cook was still on the computer, literally taking all day to do his courses. He is not living up to his last name "Speed". I had told him how to get through his courses in a quick way and he pretty much ignored me. I needed him out of my office by 2, he could have been done by 1 if he's done it the way I told him, so know he'll be back in in the morning to do his last 2 courses because he wasn't even finished by 2:15 when I needed my office to be empty. Mike was having a training meeting with Shawn & Mani at 2:30 to 5:30.

Fred was back from vacation today. So he was running the shift. I had to take my 2 servers to the dinning room to finish up the menu's class. Got that done and finally got to eat my lunch around 3:30. Then I killed some time till I needed to leave. Checked email looking for responses to my back ground checks. Talked to Tina about getting Bryana in for course for cash. Gave Mike a run down on what would happen in the morning with all the newbies coming in at 9 since I wont be there. I'll be in Arlington seeing the dr. for my final follow up.

I left at 4:30 and headed home.

Just chilled when I got home, put in Gulliver's Travels with Jack Black, funny and cute movie. Robert was out side playing with the trailer and waiting on Steph to come by with the mustang to check it over. After Gulliver and Robert was inside we watched Due Date, OMG, so very funny.

So there's my day and night. LOL not much to tell.

Tomorrow is my long long long day. lol. Not to long this week, but I do have to be up early to be in Arlington by 8:30 then I'll head back to Weatherford and to work and I'll ETC till 3 then shift lead till 8. I get to shift lead with Fred tomorrow night instead of Mani. Yeah, shouldn't have any probs, maybe able to fix some. Who knows? LOL

Wow what a hot day! Good thing I was inside freezing my butt off. LOL My office is always soooooo cold, I have to wear a jacket, so does everyone else who has to sit in there for any amount of time. My office is always below 70 and then to walk out into 100 plus temps outside, nice at first but man. Hot hot hot summer this year.

Started my day with all my Rising Stars, putting 2 on the computers after Nick took his PAR tests, mister cocky, I asked him several times if he wanted to review for his PAR 4 host and his response, nah I'm that good I don't need to, well he failed, he'll have to wait 30 days to re-take it. He did pass his night maintenance 2. So he finished got the 2 rising stars cashiers on. One of them went to cash with Daviette at 11:30 the other finished her courses. Had Franklin new grill cook and Mandy new server doing menu's and plate presentation. Becca will come in today with Maddie to do their menu's and plate. Got caught up on some of the Evals, all my rising stars are in Mike's folder. Got a few that are over due that he's had in the folder. Need to get them done and PAR tested.

Told Mani he needs to get his evals done and he tells me he's just to busy. I got so aggravated with him. These people want and need their evals so they can take their test because they'd like to get their raises and for some reason I don't think he understands that. ARG

I spent pretty much 90% of my day in my office getting some work done and I really need a week alone with out classes or interruption to catch up on so much that has stacked up. I'll talk to Mike. LOL

Hope I can get the weekend off.

So left work around 4:30 went to the health food store to buy a couple of things, then to Albertson's to get some other stuff. LOL Got home changed and had to leave again to go meet Steph at Walmart, she ran out of gas and I needed gas in my truck. She's broke so I put gas in her loaner car, lets hope she gets that mustang today.

Robert and I watched The Town with Ben Affleck, it was really good. After the movie I went in the kitchen and did some cooking for my lunch and supper for today. Cooked up some Kung Pow Chicken.

Finished out my evening watching America's Got Talent which I had recorded while we watched The Town. Went to bed shortly after.

Sunday & Monday, 12th & 13th of June 2011

Ok, it's not my fault I didn't get Sunday posted, we came home from Glen & La Rue's last night to find we had no internet. Wasn't back up until this morning. So there. LOL

So got up Sunday morning and got a shower and ready to leave to meet Cindy, Amanda & Jason at the theater. Steph came over and rode with me. We went to see the X-men movie. TOTALLY AWESOME. I would call it a prequel. It was very good. After the movie Cindy, Stephanie & I went to Dot's, found a couple of things. Left there and Steph and I went to Ross for a bit. We headed back to the house, Steph went home and Robert and I just hung out for a bit before we headed to Glen & La Rue's. They'd invited us for dinner. Of course we had to turn the game on for Robert. We left just after the game was over and of course won by the Mav's. LOL

Watched Game of Thrones after we got home.

Woke up almost late this morning, I didn't turn my alarm on when I went to bed last night, thank heaven's that I woke up when I did. However, was a bit late to work. Had orientation with 4 lovely young ladies this morning, 2 servers and 2 cashiers. Had Franklin come in to observe & learn with Lynda this morning. Jenna was scheduled to do her computer work in my office and Nick had to leave early due to a family emergency so we asked her if she could host for us, so she did.

Finished up my orientation, got the girls out and gave Matt his PAR test then got a chance to eat my lunch. After lunch I finished getting the newbies into the computer, sat down with a young lady to go over uniform police & new hire paper work for next weeks class. Once I was done it was just after 4 and I needed to head to the hospital to get x-rays of my neck for my appointment on Thursday. Got to the hospital, got the pictures taken and the tech burned me a disc right there so I don't have to go back to the hospital tomorrow or Wednesday to get it. Yeah.

Oh, so Saturday Robert had to buy Stephanie a car due to the fact hers died. So they went up to used lot in Weatherford where we've done business before. Lady named Jennifer, she's always done us right. So Steph's likin her new car until today. Robert got a call from Jennifer that there is a dispute with the title now, someone is claiming it's stolen, thought is that it was some sort of a bad break up or something like that. So Steph had to take the car back and she has a loaner right now. Robert says Jennifer has a 95 mustang on the lot she's getting inspected tomorrow and he thinks he can talk her into giving us that one. Which I really hope she does, Steph deserves it, bless her heart driving a piece of crap car since she graduated and this stolen car thing, of course it wasn't a bad car, just torn up inside. She doesn't need another torn up car. So keep that in your prayers that she'll give us the mustang because of the problems.

When I got home from work and getting my x-rays we just chilled out. Robert was watching his Fox news show at 5. Then we watched The Killing which I had recorded last night, after that Pawn Stars(one of my newest favs) as well American Pickers right after that. Then we watched Extreme Make-over. Time for the news, Robert went to bed and here I sit blogging to you all about my last two days. LOL

I'll be heading to bed here real quick got another long day tomorrow so I should get some sleep. LOL

Thursday, Friday & Saturday; 9th, 10th & 11th of June 2011

I know, I know, I know, bad me. Three days. Please forgive me.

Thursday was a long long long day for me, 12 hours at work, wrapping up the week about 15 minutes shy of a 40 hour week. Had orientation in the morning and had to shift lead that night. Again with Mani, I swear that man really doesn't know his job. We ran out of turkey again this week, however it was at 7 not at 6 this time. Anyway, a very long and busy day. Not a whole lot to report on. 3 new people, a grill cook, a hostess and a server.

Friday - woooo whooo - a day off. I got up around 8:45 and basically chose to chill out in the AM, I had Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows that I've been waiting to watch and therefore I watched it. Home alone and no interuptions. I enjoyed my morning. Made myself some lunch and then got dressed and went to see La Rue for a bit, went with her on a delivery and then to her sister in laws to pick up our pampered chef orders.

I headed back home around 4:30 to pick up my grocery list that I'd left and see Robert, then headed to Hudson Oaks Walmart to get groceries. Came home to poor hubby still working on Steph's car. Though he might go with me and Cindy to the movies but he decided not to do much of anything. After putting away the groceries I ate some dinner then headed to Lake Worth to the Starplex Cinema(still in my opinion the best kept secret). Cindy met me there about 8:15 and being that there wasn't a line or a ton of people waiting to see Super 8 we went over to Best Buy so she could look for a blue ray disc she was looking for. We headed back at 8:45 and headed on in. Got good seats and really enjoyed the movie. I'm telling you it was like a cross between Goonies, The Sandlot & Stand by Me and maybe a bit of ET according to Cindy. It was so enjoyable and it will make you jump. So I got home after 11.

Had to work today since we were being certified today. Got to work at 9 and it was busy to start. I ran the dinning room today had Maria and Jenna(orientation on Thurs but she's worked for us before - so she knew what she was doing) helping me. Mike Taylor came in at almost 11 and we were just the right amount of busy. We never went on a wait but we stayed steady and we did very well. Surprisingly we passed our certification. Yeah we passed, Mike was so thrilled plus we paid 87 employees this week so we are getting closer to the 95.

Got off at 2 and headed home were I cooked myself some chicken soup while visiting with my twin daughters who hung out in the kitchen with me. I enjoyed the visit and the soup turned out really good. I also made some pico. So I didn't actually start cooking until almost 4, so it was a very late lunch. We watched Salt tonight then Chaos, then I watched Dr. Who and now I'm watching The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Tomorrow, we'll be going to finally see the new X men movie. There are so many movies coming out, like every weekend for the next few weeks one or two that we really want to see.

Tuesday & Wednesday, 7th & 8th of June 2011

Nothing big to talk about for Tuesday, work, finished with the new hires, did menu/plate presentation with the 2 servers and had the other two get their computer courses done. Then I got the girls on to the micros to practice ringing in tickets. Spent the rest of my day working on PAR tests, getting applications together and booking interviews. Got totally pissed off by one of the grill cooks right before I left. He's such and A-hole. He'd cooked an order of pancakes for one of the employees, a regular order is 3 - 6 inch pancakes not 3 - 91/2 inches. So technically it's giving away food, food theft. So I went to the cook and asked him, quietly and not mean or in any kind of accusatory voice "What size should pancakes be?" He got very flippant and replied 8, 10 whatever. When I asked again he told me I'm not going to answer that. Got very belligerent. Told me I could go tell Shawn, I just looked at him, walked away and told Mike of his attitude today when I saw him. I'm going to write a statement and give it to Mike cause this kid just needs to go. He's constantly rude and disrespectful. He refuses to wear a beard guard when I ask him to I have to get a manager to tell him. So needless to say I was boiling when I left, took me a couple of hours to calm down.

I'm so sick and tired of work, tired of the favoritism that certain managers have with certain employees. Tired of the non-communication between everyone. I'm just very frustrated with it all, so many get away with so much and nothing is ever done, no recourse, no punishment.

Today, well just another day, had people on the computer, gave 5 or 6 PAR tests, called a whole stack of applicants for interviews for tomorrow and Friday. Had to leave around 3 to go see Dr. Brenner - primary dr, 6 mth appointment, all good. Went back to work just after 4 and finished working on the schedule for next week, had to get the rest of those ready to take PAR tests on the schedule for next week as well as take off and add on people for the rising star meeting. Had to make a few changes to the schedule but got it all done and left around 6:15.

Got home, Robert had done some work on Steph's car, oh yeah, we're doing a repeat of last week, Robert's old truck wouldn't run for her again when she was on her way to work Monday, so she's driving my truck, Robert has the motorcylce and I'm in his truck.

So we just chilled out tonight and watched last nights episode of America's Got Talent which I had recorded last night and then we watched tonights 2 hours. Wow can I just say some of them were really good and Piers really hates Howie and visa versa I think.

So that's about it, got a 12 hour day again tomorrow. On the schedule again to be shift leader on Sunday cause we were supposed to go through our certification from the Seat to Eat, however Mike our DM told Mike our GM today on their conference call that it's going to be on Saturday cause Mike DM has to be in Tennessee on Sunday. So it's looking like I'll have to work Saturday instead, I think I'll get Sunday off.

Monday Monday, so good to me.

Went in at 8 this mornin, got my office ready for orientation. Had 4 for class today, 2 servers, a dish and a cashier. They all showed up at 9, looks to be another good bunch, not to sure about one of the girls for server, young, never worked before, seems a bit timid, we'll see.

Mike was there today, good thing, had an opportunity to talk to him about some of the issues from Thursday and yesterday. He was no so happy. Found out Joey got a second job and is going down to 3 days a week there fore they think we'll have to put Nick on the grill more. Hopefully NOT.

Got day one out of the way, got Ferrin & Cindy PAR tested, added two more people to my orientation on Thursday for a total of 3, a server, grill cook & a host - the host is a young lady I know, she's worked with Cracker Barrel before - Jenna Shatford - she was on Belle's with Niki. Sweet girl. She's looking to make some extra money to work towards her masters.

Left work just after 3 and headed home. Done for the day.

Tomorrow I'll have 2 on the computers and 2 doing menu's/plate presentation.

Saturday & Sunday, 4th & 5th of June 2011

Wow what a weekend! Had two great days off. Friday was nice and Saturday was super. Again tried to sleep late, that didn't happen but ok, I had a couple things I needed to do. Made some mango salsa to take to a friends house for a big bash she was throwing. So I needed to run to wally world to get some jalopenos, had everything I needed but.

Robert and I loaded up and headed to Thersia's for the big bash, Cindy was waiting at an arranged spot in Weatherford so she could follow us out. Got out there around 1:30, the guys were still working on getting the stage set up for the bands that were gonna be playing. We hung out visited, helped when needed, ate some great food and then Robert & I had to leave and of course it was just before the guys started playing. So we missed the good music but we needed to get home to clean up for another party we were invited to in Fort Worth. We left Thersia's just after 6 and went home to clean up.

Had a nice time in Fort Worth and didn't get home till after 1, bad me. LOL Since I had to go to work this morning. Oh well.

Got up around 7:45 this morning and got myself moving and ready for work. Got there at 9 to shift lead and let's just say we've had better days. Alot of issues with ALL the employees, couldn't get anyone to do a one stop shop, couldn't get the servers to go to other tables of guest sitting there, and sitting there and sitting there waiting on someone to come get an order. Then on top of that had all sorts of issues with one of my hosts, couldn't stay were he was supposed to had to keep telling him, plus Shawn the manager was also trying to get him to stay were he was assigned, got ugly when he told me to shut up and got a serious attitude with me. When I left work Shawn was busy composing a write up for said host. Let's just hope he really did do it and give it to him.

Got home and changed clothes, laid across the bed to just chill out and fell asleep for about an hour. Robert came back and woke me up to see what I wanted for dinner and we decided to go out to Boo Ray's - if you don't know Boo Ray's it's an awesome, truly authentic cajun restaurant in Hudson Oaks. So good, Robert had the Shrimp Etouffee and I had the Shrimp en Brochette, ooooo wwweee, dat sum good cookin.

So now we're home and uuuuuggggggghhhhhhhh, Robert has the stupid basketball play offs on. Gonna go to the bedroom and watch some recorded TV, I think Dr. Who from last night. LOL

Friday, this is Friday, right? LOL Enjoyed my day off, but it felt like a Saturday. Tried to sleep late but the phone rang around 8:15. So went a head and climbed out of bed, you'd understand that if you saw my bed sometimes I think I need a step stool to get in an out it's that high, lol.

Chilled out in the living room for a while, ate some breakfast, played on FB and watched some tv. Decided I'd get a shower and get dressed for the day. lol, Went to La Rues around 2:30 and hung out till 4:30 when her and her family had to leave for Fort Worth for Sarah(her daughter)'s graduation.

Came home and we decided we'd go to the movies to see Hang Over 2, OMG, it was soooooooo funny. If you never saw the first one rent it, it will surprise you, we never saw it at the theater but saw it on one of the movie channels. The second one is probably funnier than the first, but I have to say it is NOT a movie for children and we saw at least 6 that may have all been under the age of 10. It is set in Bangkok and if you know anything about Thailand you know they have special dancers there, women on top and boys on bottom. So there is a part that shows a wo-man top and bottom frontal and talks about that same wo-man shooting a load into one of the guys. Not something I'd want to explain to a young child, I could just hear it "Daddy why does that girl have a penis?" just one of the few questions those parents might have had to answer. Stupid to bring a child to a rated R movie and not read reviews.

We got home a bit after 9 and settled in and are now watching Secretariat. Another good movie.

So that's it for my leisurely day off. LOL

Oh just a side note to let you all know, I love my hubby, he's the best and sexy still after 26 1/2 years of marriage. I love ya, baby.

Wednesday & Thursday, June 1st and 2nd 2011

Shame on me for not posting yesterday, forgive me. I was a busy girl at work yesterday, calling like 50 people to set them up for interviews for today. Had my two new hires in the morning, we did menus/plate presentation class then got them onto the micros afterward they did some of their computer work before going to the rising star meeting at 3:30. LOL

So while they were doing all that I was going through all our snag-a-job(online aps) printing them and cleaning out the inbox. Then I called them to ask each one if they could make time to come in a fill out a paper application in store, it gives us more information than what we get on snag-a-job. I think I called like 50 people. After I called all those I then started calling aps that we already had on hand that I ran back ground checks on last week to line them up for interviews for today. I was late leaving work cause I was trying to get as many called as I could.

Robert had to take me and pick me up yesterday cause he's been working on Steph's car so she has my truck to drive back and forth to Burleson to her work.

When we got home Robert went back to working on her car and I came in changed clothes, took off my make up and ate some dinner that I brought home from work. Just chilled watching the Labyrinth - love David Bowie. When Robert came in he got a shower and then we watched the news. When he went to bed I watched the Expendables - my favorite sexy men in this one. Yum. That was my birthday movie last year to go see the Expendables.

For today, got to work at 8:30, got my two guys on the computer at 9 and found out after an hour that they'd been reading every word on their courses. LOL, got a laugh out of that. I told them "go to the bottom of the page, start the challenge, read the question, if you know the answer cause we've talked about alot of what you are doing then answer it, if you don't then scroll up and look for the answer. Sitting here reading it word for word they'd be there 6 or more hours instead of only about 3. With what they had left it should have only taken them about an hour and a half. So got them to speed it up cause I had some one waiting to get on one of the puters to take her PAR test.

Finally got her one around 11, let her do some reviewing and then tested her. Gave a total of 3 PAR's today, tried for a forth but at 8:30 at night the computers just didn't want to work.

Yes I said 8:30, I worked 12 plus hours today, switched over to Shift Leader at 3. My shoulders and neck have hurt most this week after or right before I got off work each day. I finally figured out why today. I was fine all day until after 3 when I had to get into the window to help set trays after the grill was done getting them loaded, needed to get them garnished and out. That started just before 6 and when I was done, just after 8 my right arm and should did what it's done all this week, I reach up to grab something or scratch my face and it twinges and stops. I figured out why finally. When I'm standing there in the window I have to look up at the monitor, when the food comes across I have to hit the print again up over my head, I think with the repetition and going up over my head is why it hurts, Dr. Teal said to not lift anything over my head I didn't think to not raise my arms up. It's the only thing it could be. I see Dr. Teal on the 16th with new xrays so we'll talk. LOL

It was a busy night, my servers were doing well, a few mistakes, lots of rising stars, host new and doing well, my grill cook was doing his best for being the only cook but the manager got back their and promptly got us into the weeds. He's slow and cant seem to read a ticket right, he kept getting in my cooks way. He truly believes he's good and helping on the grill when all he does is aggravate all those around him.

When I should be having 12 min seat to eats or less, when he's up there, especially tonight we had 15 min or longer tickets, had a dip ticket that should have been out in 2 min or less go over 10 min. I've very disappointed. They don't seem to care and they cant move past the first ticket, Lynda is the only employee we have that can have 8 or more tickets and have them all running not just one at a time.

Got home a bit after 9 and here I sit blogging to you all before I crash and burn. I'm beat.

I have the next 2 days off though, yeah.
