Monday, 31st of January 2011

The last day of January for this year, gone never to be seen again. Another week in Arlington, last week for real this time. LOL. Supposed to go tomorrow for day two however not so sure, the news keeps saying it's gonna be really nasty tomorrow, the wind chill is terribly cold and it is now raining. Sounds like it's getting harder out there and I just saw lightening.

Maybe Mike will decide to move tomorrow into wednesday and wednesday into thursday.

Ok, I'm not a sports fan but the steelers and the packers are in town for the big event. I think it would be a blast to go to some of the parties they keep talking about on the tv, not gonna happen, I don't run in the right circles I guess. LOL

OHHH, my gym is now offering ZUMBA, went to the 1st class tonight, it was packed, not much room. It was SOOOO fun. Doing it again Wednesday. It is a good work out with out working out. LOL if that makes sense. Dancing, alot of moves most people know and grew up with. Not to hard, great cardio no impact. Looking forward to doing more, Oh and my neck seems ok, I didn't strain it or do anything to aggravate it. We'll see how I feel in the AM. LOL

My husband just told me a disturbing bit of news, seems that there are several states here in our wonderful country, their unemployment offices, when you have to call in to check on your benefits, guess what? You'll never guess. Apparently you call a call center in, get this, wait for it........

INDIA

YEAH, we have almost 10% unemployment rate in this country and even our unemployment offices are out sourcing, is it just me or is there something wrong with this picture. So how many of those umemployeed could have gotten a job answering those phones for people calling in to check on benefits. HMMMMM I wonder.

I love the sound of rain, I dread that it's supposed to turn to ice.

Well that about all I think I have to write about tonight, oh if you haven't seen the pictures I post on FB that I took yesterday take a look, I've only posted 4 so far but they turned out good, there are some better, I really don't want to post until I can mail a disc to Kisty.

Here's hoping you all have a blessed week. God love you and keep you safe

Sunday, 30th of January 2011

Well, shame on me, I haven't posted since Wednesday. It was a very busy week for me and I just collapsed once Friday night got here. LOL

Let's see, Thursday we finished up our class room training with the servers. Believe it or not at the last meeting Mike, my GM, presented me with Employee of the Month for December. Yeah me. Been there 5 1/2 years and never been choosen. Reason - they all consider me a manager, they forget I'm still an hourly also. It was nice to get the plaque. Not alot else went on for the rest of the day, Robert was still gone.

Friday, got up late, did some FBing, then did some house work, got ready for work and headed to the store for a couple of hours to do my end of the month report. I call it my tattle tell report. It's a report that I have to send to our DM the end of every month letting him know how many employee's we have, how many have PAR tested, gotten evals but the tattle tell part is I have to tell him which managers have over due evals and how many. LOVE IT. lol

Got that done and headed home to see my hubby cause while I was at the store he'd gotten home from his trip. Walked in the door to the very strong scent of GARLIC, ugh, lol. Robert was making Penne Rustica - which is ohhh sooo good, I'm just very sensitive to the smell of garlic and it could have knocked me over it was so strong. Of course it's not that strong once he mixes everything together and cooks it but until then, ugh. lol

Was going to try to go and check out our friends new business, but by the time he finished cooking she was beat and had decided to head home. We chilled out for the night here at the house.

Saturday, got up around 9 to do a couple of things around the house, then FB'ed for a bit, got a call from my friend La Rue, the one with the new business. She took over a floral shop in Azle called Sandy's Cozy Corner. She wanted me to go with her to show her where the Flower Market is in Fort Worth. Rue and her daughter Sarah came and picked me up and we headed to Fort Worth. So anyone who needs any kind of floral arrangement and if you live in or around Azle go see La Rue, she's awesome, she did all the arrangements for our daughters wedding back in April. She's awesome.

We got some great flowers and plants at the market, got her a good little start for the next few days, surprisingly the shop has been closed for a month and the phone was still on but with a message saying closed for inventory. Friday and Saturday she started getting orders. While I was at the shop with her an elderly couple came in to order an arrangement to be sent to someone in Austin. We did what we could to help out, took the order and called an ftd florist in Austin.

La Rue brought me home around 4:30 and I started finishing the house work I'd started earlier in the day. Around 6ish we get a call from Rue to see if we wanted to meet her and her hubby Glen for dinner down the road at one of our favorite restaurants, little hole in the wall type place but some of the best mexican food, called La Choza's. Robert had to get a shower first, he was a grease monkey after working on Steph's car. Got him cleaned up and we headed on out and had a nice time and good food. Robert once again was able to give La Rue and Glen some info on what they can do to get this business started when it comes to the $$$ end, kind of loans, cards, etc.

So today, Sunday, got up, got a shower and dressed and headed to Fort Worth, to the TCU campus to meet my sister and her family. Family picture time. Took over 500 pics, got some really good ones in there. A little challenging when 2 of the kids are 2 and 4 year old boys, full of energy and minds of their own. LOL but I think I did a good job and got some good pics. I think I even got their next Christmas Card. LOL. Let me tell you it couldn't have been a better day for outdoor pictures. Friday was 75 degrees, Sat around the same and then today high 60's low 70's, not to windy, great sunshiny day. Got home a little after 1:30 and downloaded the pics, gotta weed out the blurry ones and not so good ones so I can burn them to a disc and mail out. Also, speaking of pics, La Rue's gonna put up some of my landscaping and floral photo's in her shop.

Robert had a turkey breast smoking in the cooker when I got home, yum, good dinner tonight. We spent the rest of the day watching Pawn Stars and Auction Kings. Now I'm sitting here updating my blog and watching Extreme Makeover home edition, one of our favs.

Getting cold again, bye bye warm weather for a few days, calling for icy weather on Tuesday.
Till tomorrow, God Bless and keep you all safe.

Wednesday, 26th January, 2011

Made it through hump day. Yee haw. Got two of 4 meetings out of the way, nice turn out in each, good participation.

moving right along.

Went to have my oxygen machine pressure increased. Ugh, had to go up to a 15, started at 13 a year ago.

Did some traction before doing our second meeting today, as always helps some, makes me wish I could be in traction at night, might get better sleep, neck wouldn't hurt as much. lol

Went to the movies with Cindy tonight to see Green Hornet, OM Gosh, I'm telling you I never laughed so hard. It was a pretty good movie, but the part where he shoots himself with the knock out gas, then wakes up. I was laughing soooo hard I couldn't even breath.

Not much else to talk about or report, lol

Wishing you a peaceful day, God bless and take care.

Long long day at work, training. got home a bit after 7, hadn't done much, chillin on the couch, FBing, games, checkin messages. Watched the Biggest Looser. Refuse to watch the state of the union, refuse to watch that person period. Liar.

Don't get me wrong, I respect the office, I DO NOT respect the person.

So anyway, just a long day with work, gonna head to bed, got meetings tomorrow and Thursday with all the servers.

God Bless you all

I have to take my air machine back for them to up the pressure - again. I guess I'm suffocating still.

Honey is out of town for the week, should be back on friday. I hate it when he's not sleeping beside me. LOL

Well, you all have a great week this week, Take care and God Bless

Sunday, 23rd of January 2011

Today would have been my grandmothers 93rd birthday.

My mom is in Florida enjoying 32 degree weather.

I got up feeling terrible this morning, eyes swollen, headache and like I was beat up. I really don't know why. Didn't do much today, went with Robert to Walmart to get a few things including some ingredients that I needed to make lunch. Came home and made potato soup and grilled ham & cheese sandwiches. Very good for a dreary day like today.

Predicted that Green Bay and Pittsburgh would win and be the two teams in the Super Bowl and I was right.

So once again chilled out, didn't do much. Enjoyed a quite day with my honey. He'll be out of town starting tomorrow for a week.

Back in Arlington this week, monday & tuesday, last week for me. Yeah, meetings this week with our prep cooks and servers while grill cooks are getting their hands on training in the store. We are on the move now. wooo whooo.

Till tomorrow all, May God bless and keep you

Saturday, 22nd January 2011

Got about 6 inches cut off my hair today, feels much better, had them do a hot oil treatment. Met up with my girl Cindy, we had lunch at Blue Mesa then headed on out to our friend Carla's house for a scentsy party. Played with the cutes baby puppy. lol

She took me back to my car over at University and I headed on home. Robert didn't know if or what he wanted to do for dinner so we hung out until he decided to change.

Went to a little place up the road, great mexican food, La Choza's, had a nice time just talkin and eatin good food. LOL

Afterward we decided to go to our friends, Glen & LaRue's house that lives up the road from the restaurant, visited and watched Alice in Wonderland(the new version), Robert has never seen, thought it a bit freaky, lol.

Came home about 11, watched some tv and now we're headed to bed, not to much excitement today. LOL

Enjoyed a great day with great company all around.
Enjoy what is left of your weekend, I know I will, God bless

Friday, 21st January 2011

Finally the end of the week, had our final grill meeting this morning, again not a bad meeting. So far so good with most of the employees, there's a few that unfortunately we're going to end up loosing, attitudes and such.

Went back to the store, got all the hours into the computer, set up the binder for the hands on for next week and clocked out around noon.

Met up with my Dad and Debbie, we went to Wanda's for lunch. Had the best homemade onion rings with my bacon cheese burger. Saw my friend Thersia Evone and her hubby Scotty, funny they'd come in for lunch as well, we were just finishing up ours.

Came home and believe it or not I laid down for a nap and slept for ohh probably 3 1/2 hours. I really was beat. Spent the rest of the night watching the tube and playing on FB as usual, lol.

We watched the season premier of Sparticus, ooo gotta love a well muscled man. LOL

Not much else to talk about, tomorrow I'm getting my hair cut, then lunch with Cindy and a Scentsy party at a friends house.

Have a wonderful weekend all, God Bless and take care

Thursday, 20th January 2011

My, my, my can you believe it's the 20th already. Good golly Miss Molly, time flies when you're having fun. LOL

So more meetings today, this time with our grill cooks, started the day with a meeting, went to work for a couple of hours, then to Rita's for some therapy and traction. Back to the Doss for the afternoon meeting. All in all things went well, we're moving right along with getting the employee's excited and on board with the Seat to Eat program. Went back to the store wrapped up the day and headed home.

Talked to my son, Justin on the way home, actually I called him to talk to my baby girl. Sweet Kalise, got to talk with her a bit, of course it was mostly gibberish for a 17 month old and Hi plus her name, Kali, Kali, Kali over and over. LOL. Too cute. Love that baby girl. I believe I'm going to have to call at least once a week now if not more often just to talk to her.

So, since getting home and getting comfy(out of my work clothes and into my jammies) been on the computer, FB baby, plowing, planting and collecting. LOL reading posts all those sorts of things all while watching CSI and the Mentalist.

Right now watching the new USA show Fairly Legal, so far rather funny.

If you didn't watch Harry's Law the other night you missed a good one. The first 8 minutes of the show I was rolling, it was so funny and of course there's shoes, great shoes, shoes alot of us(those who are shoe-holics)would love to own. LOL

Tomorrow I have a morning meeting should be done by 10:30 - 11, I'll head to the store for a bit then go have lunch with my Dad & Debbie(x step - future step mom), a story for another day. LOL. Then my weekend begins.

Have a wonderful day, enjoy your weekend, God bless.

Wednesday, 19th of January, 2011

Yeah, another day done. Started the day off with a meeting with trainers, only 3 showed for the morning meeting, it went ok, 2 of my most negative people were there. Went to see Rita, who place me into traction for 15 min with 35lbs pulling me head off my shoulders. LOL, definately feels better, could tell I have a rib out of place underneath my right shoulder blade. She'll work on it tomorrow.

Grabbed a quick lunch, got back to the store, got a couple of things done to prepare for the afternoon which after doing the morning session I realized I needed to do. Got some other things done for the other meetings and scheduling lists for the upcoming hands on training.

Headed back to the Doss for the afternoon meeting which I feel went very well, much larger group, eleven . Went back to the store around 6 to get everyones time in the system.

Just finished a fantastic dinner my hubby had waiting on me when I got home of mesquite smoked salmon and steamed broccoli. YUM. Told Robert from now on when ever we have salmon it must always be smoked. SOOOO good. Oh and watching O'Reilly. Love Dennis Miller. lol

gonna play some on my fb games so till tomorrow, God Bless and take care.

Tuesday, 18th of January 2011

Ok, so here it is 26 years of marriage. We both forgot what day this was. LOL
Although Robert did give me a card and a very sweet, beautiful card. I love that man.

I didn't post yesterday cuz internet provider was down. I guess I better catch up.

Monday, S2E training in Arlington, good day, not a very big class but getting close to the end. One more week. Today, was the hands on at the store on 360, again not a bad day, actually didn't have to be there as early today, got out early, headed home, kissed my hubby after reading the anniversary card he gave me, changed clothes and got back in the car and went to scrap keno.

Third tuesday of every month for the past 2 1/2 years I get together with a fantastic group of ladies who are also scrapbookers and we play keno for scrapbook supplies. Actually won tonight, came home with a album kit. Maybe one of these days I'll get a chance to work on my scrapbooks again. LOL

Since I've worked for Cracker Barrel and especially when I became ETC I really don't have time to scrapbook or work on my genealogy - two of my fav things to do besides photography.

I guess I better wrap this up, it's 2 AM and I have a big day tomorrow, I have meetings lined up with ALL my trainers. A morning meeting at 9 and an afternoon at 4. Right after the morning meeting I'll head to Rita's for therapy on my neck, head to the store for a bit and then back to the Doss Center for the afternoon meeting.

Oh, back to this being my anniversary. LOL We have two dates to celebrate - we actually were married at the JP on the 26th of Dec 1984 when we went to get our license, we had already sent out our invitations for the wedding on the 18th of January. So there ya go.

I guess I'm caught up again. Till tomorrow. God Bless each of you. Take care

Sunday, 16th of January 2011

What a lazy, lazy day. I did absolutely nothing today, never even left the house. I watched several movies that I've had stacked up from blockbuster.com and played on FB. I was very lazy. With the past couple weeks and the weeks to come finishing up Seat to eat I needed to do nothing today. I'm even about to head to bed and it's only midnight. LOL. Any one who knows me midnight is early, I'm such a night owl, I'm usually up any where between 1 & 3 in the morn.

Steph and I watched Centurion off Netflix, if you haven't seen it, not a bad movie, a bit bloody but not bad. Also watched The Last Airbender, very good, left it open for a sequel and Robert & I watched The Loosers, funny, good movie.

Well that's all she wrote, lol, till tomorrow, good night, sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bit, may God keep you safe.

Saturday, 15th of January 2011

What a nice evening we had tonight with wonderful friends.

Started my day off by sleeping in, that was nice, woke up thought you know I'm going back to sleep, lol, and I need for another 2 hours.

Got up, got dressed and went into FW to do alittle shopping, needed some more foundation, went to Origins, Bath & Body(big sale) and Francesca's all in the University shopping center, then headed to the base to get our vitamins at GNC, then home. Chilled for a bit then got ready for our evening out.

Glen & Larue came over and we all headed up to FW to pick Cindy up, then down to the stockyards to a bbq place called Cooper's, OMG, you walk in the door and this guy meets us asking if we've ever been there, NO, he opens up the top to this large metal box, when I saw large I mean this thing was like 10 feet long and 4 feet wide at least and when he opened it you realize it's a large smoker with every kind of meat they serve in very large quantities, you buy the meat by the pound. So we each pick our meat, he spears it, dips it into their sauce and places it on a tray with the baked potatoe, you then move to the next room where they weigh and wrap the meat, you can choose in the case potatoe salad, salad, all your fixin's for the bakers, take it to the register and pay. The beans and bbq sauce are by the drink station, all you can eat, believe me when I say you will NOT leave this place hungery, I did bring home left overs.

After the restaurant we headed to down town to Hyena's Comedy Club cause I had free tickets. Got there 5 till 7, perfect timing cause we were the first in line, we paid the 5 bucks to get front & first entrance. Had first pick on the seats, took second row. It was really a good show. The headliner was a comedian Shane Mauss(moss) very funny, I think we all enjoyed ourselves.

After the show, cause it got out before 10, we stood out on the sidewalk trying to decide what we were going to do next, decided to go to the Flying Saucer, however once we got there there was a $3 cover charge to get in cause they had a band. So we walked on to Barnes & Noble, all the girls needed to visit the girls room. Wandered around for a bit, then left and headed back to the truck to head home.

The fog had moved in while we were in Hyena's and seemed to get thicker when we came out of B & N. After we dropped Cindy off at her place got on the highway and it was pea soup all the way. Very thick fog. Got home visited a bit more with Glen & Larue(showed off pics of the grandbaby from our trip to NM a couple of weeks ago). They headed home and now I sit here writing my blog to you and watching Zombie Land. lol

So that's about it, hope you all had as nice of a Saturday as I did. God Bless and keep you till the next time.

Thursday & Friday; 13th & 14th of January 2011

Can you believe the middle of the month is already here?

I was so tired yesterday I never posted so I'll do 2 days in one. LOL

In my store in Weatherford both days. Seems I'm always playing catch up ever time I'm there. Thank the good Lord for Lisa Baker who's been filling in for me when I'm not there, she is definitely my right hand. So I started my day with Rita and my neck in traction. Headed to work were I immediately got to work with the schedule getting my trainers and grill cooks all scheduled for meeting for next week, got that done and a sign up sheet for all the prep cooks and servers for meetings the following week, then had to pass out pay checks at 2.

Went to the bank, wal-mart & rosa's after work before heading home.

As for today, got to sleep a little bit later than I have all week, got to work 9:30, finished some of the things I left yesterday. Updated all my employees who've take their PAR tests. To explain, if you've ever been to Cracker Barrel and you've wondered what all the stars are on the aprons it's like a promotion. PAR stands for Personal Achievement Responsibility, basically we afford each employee a way to promote themselves.

So I got their PAR status updated in the computer, got the sign up sheets posted for the meetings. Ordered some aprons, did my expense report, so you can see how exciting my days are. LOL

Found out that the zodiac has now changed, lol, they've added a 13th saying that the calendar isn't right, just like Pluto isn't a planet any more. Seriously how stupid is this. Ohhhh, if you were born before 2009 then you don't have to change your astrological sign. Unbelievable.

There's not alot to report, got plans tomorrow night with a bunch of friends, we're going to dinner at Cooper's BBQ - will let you know how it is. And then down town to Hyena's to see comedian Shane Mauss. Looking forward to a fun evening.

Till next time may your days be wonderful. God Bless you all and keep you.

Wednesday, 12 January, 2011

Can you believe it's almost the middle of the month. Didn't we JUST celebrate new year like yesterday. Ughhh.

Day 3 of S2E in Arlington for this week is now done, we have 2 more weeks to go and all the stores in our district will be done training the mgrs so they can go back to their stores and then the training in our stores starts. Ours actually will start next week, Wednesday I will meet with all my trainers, then thurs & fri we start with ALL our grill cooks. Lots and lots of hours coming up for me the next 4 weeks.

So when I left Arlington today, came home via n loop 820, going past NE mall to Jarod's to get my bracelet repaired. They said they'd have if finished by 7, so ok, instead of waiting a week I decided hey I can hang out for 3 hours. lol,

I called my friend Christy, she found me at DSW and we went and picked up Leon the giant, lol and headed to dinner at El Fenix, hadn't eaten there in years. loved it.

After dinner they took me back to my truck at DSW, went and got my bracelet, good as new and headed home.

So lets talk DSW - seriously, discounted shoes, I'm sorry discounted to me DOES NOT mean I still have to pay 65, 70 or even over 100$'s for a pair of shoes. So I'll continue to go to Ross, great shoes never paid more than $30 for a pair of shoes. And these aren't cheapy shoes guys, I've found Nine West's, Reebok's, Carlos Santana's, Joey's, Doll House. So I can get 4 pairs of shoes at Ross compared to 1 pair at DSW.

I'm going to tell you a secret, lol, sorta. All my friends and family know but here it is.......
I'm a shoeaholic. I love shoes, especially spiked heels, sexy, cute and unique shoes. I have found some of the best shoes at Ross, I truly was not very impressed with most of the shoes I saw at DSW. I did see 2 pairs of boots, very nice and another pair of spiked heels, very pretty black laced covered, might have to go back and get those, they were around 45$'s. Robert liked them, I send him a text pic.

So that's about it for today, hope you all have a fab rest of the week and an even better weekend. God bless and keep you

Tuesday, 11th of January 2011

Long day, not alot to talk about, gonna hit the hay.

Monday, January 10, 2011

Monday, 10th of January 2010

Seat to Eat in Arlington again this week, our store is finally going through this week and next, got 3 days this week, Good class, 3 long days this week.

Not a whole lot to talk about, came home, took small nap, watched Lie to Me and Castle.

Rain and snow yesterday, flurries today, COLD, COLD, COLD

Robert's in Lubbock tonight so it's usually hard for me to sleep. We'll see
Gonna try to get a good nights sleep tonight, I hope, didn't sleep well last night.

Until tomorrow, God Bless & keep you.

Sunday, 9th of January 2011

Ok, to start, I really don't know why there is a c after 2011 for yesterday, lol, I guess I didn't proof read very well. LOL

Woke up to rain which then turned to snow today. Nice, but it didn't stay long. They got more over in Dallas and east Texas than we did. It was good to get the rain though we really needed it.

Cooked egg, sausage & potatoes for breakfast burrito's this morn. Just chilled out on the couch with my puter & old Star Trek movies. Got dressed and left the house around 1:30 to go see "The King's Speech" with my friend Kelley.

So I told you all yesterday that I'd let you know how the movie was. Well it was sooooooo good.
If you don't know what it's about it takes place in the late 20's to the late 30's between the two world wars. The storie of King George the 6th, who was a stutterer and stammerer.

I could understand some of his pain as I had a speech problem when I was in elementary, thank God I had parents, grandparents, teachers and special therapists who helped me. I occasionally still have a stutter but that's just me. LOL

Anyway, back to the movie; King George(before he became King - Prince Albert) needed to be able to speak publicly and goes through numerous doctors and therapist who really couldn't help him. His wife finds a man, Lionel Louge who through the course of the movie they become friends and he helps him. I really don't do it justice because I'm trying not to give alot away. It's such a funny, heart warming movie. About half way through the movie there is some serious language because when he gets angery he can speak and throws in some curse words when Lionel goads him into saying more. It really was a very funny scene. So all I can say is I really truly enjoyed this movie.

On my way home there was a girl(about the same age as my youngest if not younger(18 - 20) who was broke down on the side of the road with a blown tire. Her left rear tire had blown out and she didn't hadn't a clue how to change it much less whether or not she had a spare. So in 34 degree weather before the wind chill, I helped her locate her tire, NO JACK, got mine out of the truck, luckily she had a tire iron that fit cause mine was to big. A man also stopped to help and ran up the road to his friends house to bring back a hammer cause we couldn't pull the tire off. I really don't know what I would have done, it was stuck on good. So to him again I say thanks for stopping also. This young lady really didn't know what to do.

This really irritates me that today's kids - girls and boys do not have to learn how to change a tire in drivers ed. We couldn't pass DE when I was in HS unless we could change a tire. I have 4 children, 1 boy and 3 girls, all in their 20's, but we made sure they each know the basics for a vehicle besides putting gas in it and going. They know how to change a tire and where it's at. They know to check ALL the fluids, oil, transmission, brake and windshield. If they had to they could change the oil.

Came home and again vegged out, watched Extreme Make Over then the new show The Cape, not bad.

So about to head to bed, got a very long week ahead of me. Three 12 hour days in a row. Up at 5:30 to leave by 6:30 so I can be in Arlington by 7:30 for our Seat to Eat training. It's just the drive I hate the hour over and hour coming home cause it's always traffic. But at least I get paid milage. That helps.

Until tomorrow my friends, may you have a blessed day.

Saturday, January 8, 2011

Saturday, 8 January 2011c

So we've made it through the first week on January, the first week of the new year. Hope it was a good one for everyone.

Didn't do a whole lot today, got up around 9, caught up on my recorded TV, Caprica. Took care of my farmin, city & factory work, LOL on Facebook.

De-decorated the tree, put up all signs of Christmas, boo hoo. House looks empty now. I love Christmas and all the decorations. I always hate to take them down. If we didn't have live trees every year I'd put it up sooner(Thanksgiving) and leave it up. Of course Robert probably would divorce me, gotta put it up the first weekend in Dec and take it down New Year, of course over the years we've compromised and taken it down the weekend after new year.

Watched one of my favs while putting all the decorations up, The Fifth Element.

Got everything put away then got a shower, headed to town, went to the post office, Walmart for a few things and filled up the truck, headed home.

Took a while to figure out what to do for dinner, made some chicken fried rice and we're watching the original True Grit.

So once again, lol, a very exciting day in my life.
Tomorrow afternoon, gonna meet up with a couple of girl friends to go see The King's Speech will let you know how it is.

God bless and keep you

Friday, January 7, 2011

Friday, 7th of January 2011

Well what an exciting start to my weekend, NOT. LOL, didn't leave work till 7:30. Came home and now vegging on the couch, playing my games on FB.

Traction again this AM with Rita, work by 11 to finish training new hires, got them out around 3, promotion tested 6 people today, cleaned up my office to get it ready for next week since I'm in Arlington the majority of the week. Lisa will be filling in for me.

Still a ton of work to do but working in both stores right now not sure when I'm gonna get it caught up.

can't think of much of anything else to write.

God keep you safe and bless you each day.

What a day! LOL, got up & headed to town to see Rita where she put me in traction again. Actually I think it's working fairly well so far. Got to work alittle after 10:30, got my new hires on to the computers when they came in at 11. So took care of some paper work, got TONS to take care of, don't know when but gotta get it done soon.

Needed to stay and help out tonight no shift leader so I said I'd do it. Got off work around 8:30 or so. Stopped by Chili's to speak with the manager. We had a server get hit in their parking lot yesterday by a car and I wanted to see if anyone saw it happen since the lady in the car said she stepped in front of the car, however the girl was walking to work through the parking lot and saw the lady coming at her and tried to get out of the way. Apparently the cops are saying since the lady said that Christine stepped out in front of her and their wasn't any kind of a pedestrian walk(duh - it's a parking lot) they couldn't rule it a pedestrian vs a vehicle. This poor kid, she's been working really hard to get her life straightened out. She has a 2 and 4 year old daughters, living in a motel week to week, she just can't get a break, not a good one. If anyone is reading this please say a prayer for this young lady. She really needs it.

I think God is trying to get her attention but something good really needs to happen she's so beat down.

Ordered some dinner to go while I was at Chili's, came home, changed and ate my dinner. It was almost 9:30 before I got home.

So there's another day in my life, again not to exciting.

God Bless

Wednesday, 5 January 2011

Here it is Wednesday, middle of the week. Headed into work this morning with what seemed like everyone ahead of me the whole way wanted to do 5 to 10 miles UNDER the speed limit.

Got to work and lots to do, price I pay taking 9 days off. lol
Had 2 new hires that needed to go over menu's and plate presentation, nice kids. Got them going on their projects and started catching up with Mike on what I've missed. Several terms. Unfortunate. We'll have to hire alot of people the next 2 weeks. I know I did alot at work today but for the life of me I really don't feel like I did much.

Left work a little before 2 had an appointment with Rita, she put me in traction today to see if it would help my neck, it seemed to help some, rather sore right now, got a heating pad on my shoulder & neck. I see her again Thur & Fri mornings for more traction. yeah. lol

Went to Complete Sleep after Rita's, to get my machne re-calibrated, ugh, had to up the pressure. Will have to do another pulse ox tonight with the new pressure and see what happens.

That's about all that happened today, not to exciting. LOL

A day in my regular life.

Monday, 3rd of January

Hoping you all have had a fantastic first monday of the month/year and your first day back to work since the holidays.

I had to work in Arlington today, we are back in to training for S2E(seat to eat). Tomorrow will be the 12 hour day. Great group this week, 3 stores, total of 11 people, got 4 from a store out of Norman, Ok plus their DM and the other 6 are from our district, Burleson & Arlington(the one off Bowen).

Other than training today, pretty much uneventful.
Slept in a little, got up did a little facebooking while watching Rachel Ray, got a shower and headed to Arlington. Got home around 5 - 5:30, watched Desperate House Wives from yesterday then made myself a Panini with some smoked pork loin and swiss cheese. Yummy. LOL

Now I'm watching the 80's version of V on Scifi channel and doing some facebooking again, killing time till The Closer comes on.

Robert is checking on his deer, bless his heart they torture him. LOL

Everyone is home and in their rooms, watching their tv's or whatever it is they do. LOL

Well the end of another day. Not much to write about today.
Pretty boring I guess

Sunday, January 2nd

Well, I was going to go to church this morning however woke up and couldn't move my head hardly, had to take a darvocet, so sitting here on the couch, uploading pics to my facebook from Christmas. The vice grip around my neck has eased up some. We'll see what the rest of the after noon holds, I might be able to move well enough here in a bit to de-decorate the tree. LOL

Not my fav thing, I love my Christmas decorations and hate when I have to put them away. We buy and decorate the tree the first weekend in Dec and usually take it down just after New Year, with New year falling on a weekend this year it should be this weekend we take it all down and put it away, however Robert didn't take the lights down out side yesterday either and not sure he'll get them down today. He's in his recliner with his lap top open on his lap and snoring. LOL

On his behalf he was up before the sun this morning, he's still trying to get one of those deer that keep taunting him. I really hope he can get one soon, we're out of deer meat.

So as of right now, looks like another lazy day. Back to the grind stone for us tomorrow.

New Years Day 2011

Well it's now 2011, 1/1/11. I thought I'd start over again with blogging. I will be 50 in 20 months. I want to chronicle things in my life leading up to the big 5 oh. I spent this past week in Albuquerque with all my children and their significant others(except Steph - her invisible boyfriend - LOL) and my granddaughter. We had a really great visit most the time, you'd think with the kids all being in their 20's they wouldn't bicker so much any more. I left one evening to see a friend and went to the movies ALONE. Saw the new TRON, good movie even in 3D.

We left on the 26th and came home the 30th. Spent all day Tuesday at the zoo and aquarium with a train ride to and from each. Kalise is such a cutie and a joy. That would be my granddaughter.

My son is a great father with his little girl. We did a good job raising him if I say so myself.

Robert(my hubby) and I went to our friends house last night for New Years eve, uneventful, lol, just the 4 of us, watched Animal Crackers, then Salt. Another couple arrived around 10:30 and we played chicken foot till almost 1 AM, I lost, packed up and came home, plowed my farm on farmville(lol) and went to bed. My neck was giving me a fit during the evening and into the night then all day today. March I'll have surgery.

Monday it's back to the grind stone. Heavy training for Seat to eat at work till the end of February.
