Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 25th to the 28th of August 2011

My oh my, I have been remiss in posting. Thursday was my long day at work as usual. Finishing up with some of the new hires and all around busy at work. When I finally left work I had to get things packed up for our weekend away. I needed to have everything ready since I still had to work half day on Friday and Robert wanted to have the trailer loaded and ready to go. So Thursday was a busy day and after getting my things together and packed, I played a couple of games on FB and headed to bed.

Friday got up and headed to work, got there about 8:30 and spent pretty much the whole time in my office. I was helping Jose with his courses on the computer while getting all my info together to do my end of the month DM report. Got everything I needed to get done and was out of the building by 10 after 1. I headed home, changed clothes and I jumped into the truck and we headed down the road to Hill Billy Haven. We got to the camp grounds between 2:30 & 3. We got the trailer parked and started setting everything up. Got the AC on and started cooling things down. Cindy came out and joined us for hamburgers. Then Cindy & I played a couple of games for a while. We had a really nice time.

Saturday morning, was so nice. Robert woke up before me and started cooking breakfast outside. Nothing like breakfast cooked outside and eaten in the fresh air. mmm mmm good. He came in to the trailer and say's "you have about 5 minutes before I have you an omelet ready". It didn't take me long to get up. lol. Breakfast of bacon, an onion, cheese & mushroom omelet with green chili powder, and bacon toast(for those of you who are wondering - toast grilled in the bacon grease - great flavor) We sat out at a picnic table under the trees and not far from the banks of the river. It was so very nice, not to hot yet and just very peaceful. We cleaned up our breakfast mess and I got Robert to sit down, get his leg up and iced down his ankle. He hurt it pretty bad stepping out of the trailer on Friday when we were still setting it up. So he settled in with his book and I got ice on his ankle. Robert brought his lap top so while he read I played on FB just hanging out in the trailer with no worries. Around 2:30 I got my suit on and we went down to the water where I tied up a rope to my inner tube and a cinder block and floated around in the nice warm water. It was so nice. Robert sat up on the bank and eventually he went back to the trailer, I hung out on the bank for a little while longer and then it started getting crowded so around 4:30 I headed back up to the trailer. As soon as I got back I tried out the shower. I was had a good bit of sand in places that shouldn't have sand. LOL - Like my hair and under my boobs among other places. After my shower and getting my hair brushed out and re-braided, I started getting things ready for dinner. Robert was on the couch reading his book and had ice on his ankle again. Glen & La Rue were coming out for dinner. I cut up mango & papaya, got the charcoal lit and heated up, cooked the smoked sausages and hot links, made rotel and got the ranch style beans on the stove. When Glen & Rue got there around 6 they brought pork tenderloins that we threw onto the grill and ended up having a great dinner. After dinner we played Hearts for a few hands but Robert is so cute throat we only played 5 or 6 hands. Around 9:30 we decided to watch one of the movies Glen brought. We watched Priest. Not a bad movie, could have been better maybe if they'd had a bigger budget. I don't know, sorta reminded me of the John Wayne movie of The Searchers but of course a major twist instead of Indians we had Vampires. It was left open for a sequel so who knows they may decide to make another and maybe they'll have a better budget. LOL

After the movie Glen & Rue headed home around midnight. It wasn't to much longer after that we hit the sack and crashed. Didn't take long to go to sleep.

Sunday morning, I woke up at 7, this time I was up before Robert. So I was going to start breakfast. Was having trouble starting the oven so I had to wake Robert up around 7:30, we got the oven lit and I got the biscuits cooking and the sausage cooked. We had sausage, egg & cheese biscuits for breakfast. While it was cooking we started putting things away, packing, getting things ready for the trip home. I had plans to meet Cindy for brunch at Blue Mesa. We both belong to their mailing list and each year we get birthday Brunch coupons from them for a free brunch.

Robert and I got the grey water & sewer drained and flushed, loaded up the motorcycle(which we didn't get to use since Robert hurt his ankle unable to get his boot on). We got everything loaded & hooked up and started for home around 9. We made it just pass the main street bridge and under the new bridge and there was a loud pop. We had a blow out, could it have been the one in the middle of the 3(trailer has 6 wheels) No the one in the very back and on the left hand side had to blow. So on the shoulder of the new road(right where the old exit used to be for Santa Fe) Robert unloaded the jack and up it went, got the tire off it and it was like some one sliced it straight from one side to the other and of course with a flap of tire it tore up the sheet metal and wheel well. Trying to get the new tire on it wouldn't jake up high enough and it slipped, scaring me half to death, Thank heavens for the 5 other tires. Robert was right under it. I had called Stephanie just as Robert started working on getting it changed. Asked her to drive up with my truck, not thinking to much ahead that she could pick me up. After thought, oh yeah come and we'll switch places since I was supposed to be at Cindy's at 10 and it was now 9:30. Surprisingly it didn't take us as long as we thought to change the tire and Robert didn't want to sit there for 1 more minute even though Steph was literally on the Texas turn around as we were getting into the truck. So I had to call her to tell her to go ahead and follow us down to the Lake Shore Drive exit. She caught up with us. Robert was checking everything. Steph went with Robert and I left in my truck for Fort Worth, it was 10 to 10. Got to Cindy's at 10:20 and we headed to the restaurant. They were already getting busy when we got there, we had a 15 or 20 min wait, not to bad. We got sat close to the front door in the front dinning room and after I got my plate of food Cindy headed to get hers and this cute little elderly lady came over and asks if her friend could sit down in one of our chairs while they wait for their table. I said sure so when Cindy got back to the table with her food we had to little ladies sitting with us. We chatted with them for a bit and then I said to Cindy that they should just stay since they were already sitting. So we invited them to share the table with us. The were so cute and we had a really nice visit make two new friends for the day. After brunch Cindy & I walked through some of the stores there in University Village. I used my $10 gift card at Origins and my $10 gift card at Victoria's Secret. We looked around at Francesca's and then loaded up in her car and headed back to her apartment. I got in my truck and headed home it was around 1. Once I got home Robert hadn't gone to the hospital yet about his ankle. He'd unloaded just about everything from the trailer though. I got my stuff out of the trailer and changed clothes. Robert headed to the hospital just before 2 so I had the house to myself for a while. I watched Haven & Torchwood. Robert came home with a stabilizer on his foot to keep the ankle from turning side to side. The x-rays showed a couple of small fractures but nothing they can do. He'll just have to be careful with it.

We've just chilled the rest of the evening, watched a GAC story on Sarah Evans then we watched Leverage, Against the Wall, the news and now Robert's headed to bed and I'm watching True Blood.

I gotta work nights this week so I hope to keep up daily posts. Ya'll have a great week.
God Bless

Wednesday, 24th of August 2011

Middle of the week, happy hump day. Day 2 of a 4 day work week for me. LOL

Had orientation today and all went well. My newest server was 30 minutes late however. Not a bad day. Kayla last weeks new hire came in and finished her computer courses. Not a whole lot really happened today. Mike & I had our meeting at 3:45 with the trainers. Lynda, Maria and Sam all showed and then Ferrin was a tad late but she came which was great. We had a very good meeting. Shared the new info and had a great discussion on what we can do to help make things better.

I got out of the store at 6 and headed to Niki's, went to pick up our camp table and chairs and sleeping bags. Got home at 7 and chilled out for the rest of the night.

Sorry there's not more to tell, it really has been a slow week at work, I already had people lined up for interviews today, tomorrow and Friday. Called the ones from yesterday that needed a second interview with Mike. So there ya have my exciting day. LOL

God Bless, have a great rest of the week.

Monday & Tuesday, 22nd & 23rd of August 2011

Monday, Robert & I both took the day off. Slept in a bit and after I got up we just hung out. Robert stayed home all day and did nothing which he needed. I ran into town, dropped off the dry cleaning, then had to go to Best Buy where I had to leave my camera. UGH, I hate not having my camera. My short lens stopped working, the auto focus wouldn't work. According to the geek squad canon wants the lens and the camera in order to fix it. So No Camera for about 2 weeks. ARG. After best buy I ran into Ross for about 10 minutes to see what was new in the shoe area. Found 3 pairs that appealed to me. I'll have to keep an eye on them. After Ross I ran to the Walmart in Hudson oaks to get some groceries. Got home around 1 and unloaded the groceries and then just chilled until I needed to get ready for dinner. Had a dinner date planned with my bestest bud Cindy to celebrate our birthdays. LOL. I've been celebrating my birthday since the 12th of this month. This has been cool, an on going celebration. Each year Cindy and I get coupons for a free dinner from The Keg and a free brunch from Blue Mesa. So we went to dinner at The Keg last night, I had the best filet mignon with twice baked stuffed potato and asparagus. It was really good. Cindy had the tiger shrimp in a white sauce and the twice baked stuffed potato. We had a nice leisurely dinner and visit. After dinner we each headed home. I made it home around 8 and changed clothes and Robert and I watched The Closer and Rizzoli & Isles.

Tuesday - Back to work, nose to the grind stone. LOL Not a bad day, I spent most my day going through all the current applications and snag a jobs, called the snag a jobs to come in and fill out applications and called the apps that I had and set them up with interviews. So the 3 associates are all booked with interviews for the rest of the week, so hopefully we'll have second interviews lined up for Mike for Thursday & Friday.

I have 3 people for orientation tomorrow, a grill, cash & server. They hired another for grill to start next week and it will have to be a night class since he's still in high school and can't come to work till 4. I HATE WORKING NIGHTS. Oh well. Once in a blue moon isn't too bad and the Thursdays I have to work till 8 is standard. I look at that as being the price I pay for having the weekends off. Most ETC's have to work on the weekends and I luck out because of orientations during the week.

Well, that's about it. It was a slow day for the store, leaving me to do what I needed to get done and I even gave a PAR test to Sarah before leaving for the day.

Good night to all, have a blessed week. God bless you all and keep you safe.

Friday,Saturday & Sunday, 19th, 20th & 21st of August 2011

Well Friday was the day we left for our trip to Tennessee. What a wonderful drive we had. We left the house at 9:15 just after all the work traffic into FW/Arlington/Dallas. Took I-20 around to 635 then up to I-30. The further north we went the greener things got and the temperature dropped under a 100. We stopped in Arkadelphia at the Cracker Barrel for lunch. I was very appalled at their staff. The host was literally bent over the stand coloring on some newspaper with a pen, no greeting what so ever, even while I was standing right next to him waiting on Robert to come out of the restroom. The ladies room was in need of cleaning and when Robert and I were at the table he informed me that they must just be coming out of the lunch rush, which I agreed since it was 2:15. He said that the mens room was REALLY dirty. Our server, who I saw at a table in the third dinning room wasn't caring a tray and had gum that he was chewing like a cow. Came to the table and pretty much asked what we wanted, no greeting, no scripting. We gave him our drink orders and when he came back he had a tray and asked if we knew what we wanted yet. I asked for a little more time cause neither of us had really decided yet. I had decided before I walked in the door but they don't caring what I wanted on their menu. So therefore I really didn't know what I wanted. When he returned again no tray and smacking the gum. We gave him our order and as it should have been we got it in record time. The food was good for the most part. I had the old timers and asked for hard scrambled eggs with cheese. They came med(which I could live with) and the cheese was half melted, again I can live with it but it didn't make for very good eggs. My biscuits were old and hard so when our server came back to the table to ask if there was anything else we needed I asked him if he could get me fresh biscuits, he literally rolled his eyes and took the plate and walked away, not saying a word. He brought me fresher biscuits but still not the freshest. For those of you who know, love and eat at the Barrel we make them fresh and only hold them for and hour and a half. I never saw a manager of any kind that I could tell, I did see one woman with a white shirt and black slacks come out of the kitchen but she had on a back belt, sorta looked like a corset but not so I wasn't really sure who she was. And only saw her the once. Robert went out to start the truck while I payed and I went to the restroom again, which still had not been checked or cleaned since we walked in the door. The whole time the same host still leaning over the host stand doodling. When I came out I looked around the food table for a snack and watched him, I saw a gentleman who I thought might be a manager walk up to the stand the host looked up at him the man said something and the host didn't even stand up straight just kept his head down and doodled then a woman came out of the rest room and when she approached the man he then stood and grabbed 2 menus and took them into the restaurant. Wow, really. I plan on calling HO when we get home as a guest and informing them of what all I saw while we were there. Rising stars with name tags on the right or under the rising star words, wrinkled and very dirty aprons. I was not impressed at all.

We got back on the road and I got on the lap top and played my games on Facebook and enjoyed our drive, we crossed into Missouri and went north for about an hour and some change and then crossed the mighty Mississippi River into the great state of Tennessee. We got to the hotel at 7, so if we hadn't stopped for an hour for lunch and that once for about 15 minutes to get gas and go to the bathroom we probably could have made Dyersburg by 6. lol

We checked into the hotel and got all our bags into the room, called Eugene and couldn't get a hold of him. Decided we'd go get some dinner then hit Walmart since it is literally behind the hotel and we needed to shop for a wedding gift and isn't that what everyone does on vacation, find the nearest Walmart where ever you go. LOL

Eugene called us as we got to the restaurant on Carrie's phone he'd left his at home and they were all at church decorating and doing the rehearsal. Said they'd call after they were done, wanted to come by hotel and see us. Well it was late when they were done and they had to go to Walmart and were gonna stop by but at 10:30 they were all beat since they'd been at the church since 2 so they didn't stop by. LOL. Robert and I just hung out here in the room both on our lap tops listening to the tv as back ground noise and me playing games him reading his news and such. I actually got into the shower just after 10:30 once we found out we weren't having company and got cleaned up because I wanted to straighten my hair also for Saturday. After my shower I started working on my hair and for those of you who know me and have seen me lately there's a lot there to work with. After getting it all brushed out and all the tangles out I started straightening it around 11:15, it was after 2 before I got into bed. Yes it took me almost that entire time to straighten it. But it looked good. LOL

I'm gonna post this and finish it in a little while cause we need to load up the truck, Robert's taking me to Mississippi, lol, instead of Kentucky, we're only 50 min south of the boarder of Kentucky but we need to head south. We were gonna try to go n yesterday and ran out of time. Family obligations ya know.

Enjoy the read and I'll finish this later with all of Saturdays events.

Alrighty then, to complete this, lol.

Saturday we slept in which was nice, actually I slept later than Robert he was already up for a while when I woke up. We got dressed and left the hotel around 10:30 to find a place to eat. We ended up in downtown Newbern and found this little cafe/pool hall with the absolute best hamburgers you've ever tasted. Just after we ordered Justin our nephew joined us. The only live about 3 blocks from downtown and Carrie had dropped him off. Apparently he rides his bike up there most the time so he's a regular. The neatest thing is it's a very small town and he's a regular at this cafe. Like stepping back in time in this little town. After lunch I took some pictures of down town, there's an old train depot across the street from the cafe and it's a museum but also a functioning station. Justin and I were walking around on the platform and there's an area that is a ramp and as I started walking down it the wood is so old and weather worn it was slicker than ice and I became an ice skater with no talent. I fell so hard on my back side, scrapped up my left elbow and jarred my right shoulder but I saved my camera. For those of you who know me and my camera you know how important that is. So after taking my shoes off so that I could get up off my butt and take stock in the damage to my person and pride, I found all was ok. Shoulder hurt and still does, a bit stiff, Robert scrunched me so it helped alot but still stiff. We loaded up and headed to Eugene & Carrie's house. Visited with Carrie and Mary Lou for a bit before we needed to head back to the hotel and get ready for the wedding. Eugene was already at the church as was Rochelle & Michael.
Robert and I got back to the hotel and took our time getting ready. We left the hotel just after 1 and finally found the church around 1:25. I went to the room Rochelle was in getting ready with my camera and started taking pictures. There were a few others also and one young lady who I thought was a friend taking pictures for them I later found out that she was supposed to be the photographer. Once they lined up I got pics of the procession and the girl taking the pictures. I truly thought she was just someone taking pictures, she wasn't dressed like she was working(a t shirt and brown jean capri's). At one point at the beginning of the ceremony we were both on the same side of the alter and we decided I'd stay and she'd go to the opposite side and instead of going down the side isle and around she walked right behind the bride and groom. I was stunned and of course couldn't say anything because the minister had already started. Needless to say I took 630 pictures from start to finish and got some really great shots. I hope she did just as good, I know she got different views. I really had know idea that she was supposed to be the hired photographer. Although like I said I found out after all was said and done by Carrie that Rochelle didn't even meet with the girl until Wednesday and they weren't paying her although Carrie said she saw Janet(Rochelle's birth mommy)give her what looked like a check. ?? So who knows.

After we cleaned everything up and loaded up, we hauled it all back to Eugene & Carrie's. Hung out there for a bit. Robert and I went back to the hotel to change and while we were changing Carrie called and told us where we were going to meet for dinner. We ended up at the same restaurant we'd eaten at Friday night which was ok cause it was really good. We headed on over and Eugene, Carrie, Mary Lou and Justin and his friend Justin(they call them Justin squared) were there. We had to wait a while cause they wanted their favorite waiter. But it was good and we had a nice time. Got to be the only place I've ever seen them bring a pitcher of margarita's. Robert had ordered in his words "the biggest, baddest margarita you have" and the guy brings 2 glasses with ice and a pitcher with an ice core in the middle of margarita's, the second glass to Mary Lou & I shared, although I think she drank most of it cause I didn't even get a buzz. LOL But you could tell she was a bit happier. After dinner the boys all loaded up in our truck and Carrie, Mary Lou and I in theirs and headed back over to our hotel so that I could down load all the wedding pictures to a flash drive for Carrie. The drives she brought didn't have enough memory so Eugene and the 2 Justin's ran to Walmart and got 2 - 4 gig drives and brought them back so that I could down load one for Carrie and another for Mary Lou. I had them on a slide show while we waited for the boys to return and then while the flash drives loaded. Afterward they headed home and we went back to our room(we did all this in the dinning room where we could be comfortable) since it was after 10:30, they were beat. I was pretty beat myself and was out like a light by 12:30, I think I woke up around 2 and Robert was just getting into bed and he was watching something on tv so I don't know what time he fell asleep. I woke up around 8:30 and got dressed went next door(the dinning room was literally on the other side of our bedroom wall) and ate a waffle, back to the room where Robert was sleeping like a baby and I got on my computer. He woke up at 9:30 and was surprised at the time. As soon as he got up we started getting packed up and loaded and left the hotel around 10:30 and got on the road.

We went south to Memphis and Robert was wonderful when I got us lost for about 5 minutes trying to find Graceland. We finally got on the right road and finally found it and got some pictures and stopped in a souvenir shop so I could buy a magnet to go into my collection of all the places I've been. LOL

I've never been to Mississippi so after Memphis we drove on down through Tunica to Route 49 and crossed over the Mississippi River to Helena - West Helena, Arkansas were we ate lunch. We had a wonderful back roads drive and ended up seeing an old civil war era plantation house, it was awesome. No address, but it's been under reconstruction, check out this story, http://www.arkansaslife.com/editions/?p=3272
It has pictures of the house, now when we saw it there is a chain link fence surrounding it and 5 foot weeds and grass surrounding it. It's obvious they haven't commenced reconstruction but they have gotten a metal roof placed on it, you can see some of it on the picture that shows the back two story porch. It really a neat story about it's beginning and those who are taking care of it now. I hope they can finish what they've started. I'd love to go back some day and be able to stay there. It's been called Palmer's Folly or the Palmer house. But I wouldn't call it a folly because it has stood the test of time. The original construction was so well done that it looks to still be in great condition.

We took 49 all the way up to a town called Brinkley(would love to know the history behind that since my step dad is a Brinkley). We got on I-40 and headed South West toward Little Rock where we got on to I-30 and headed toward home. We stopped in Mount Pleasant at an Apple Bee's for dinner and got home around 10:30. So what took us 10 hours to get there took us 12 hours to get home. LOL Taking our little side trip. We weren't in a hurry, we both took Monday off work and knew that it wasn't a rushed trip back. We love taking the back roads because there is beautiful country to see and of course we couldn't have seen that wonderful house if we hadn't.

So we had a wonderful weekend, the weather was fantastic and the area we were in was so green and lush. It was nice to be away from the 100 plus weather for a couple of days. Even drove through some rain today. Wished we could have brought it home with us. Oh and on that same drive from Dyersburg to Memphis which is only a little over an hour there must have been 30 churches of all kinds. And they call Texas the bible belt. Robert and I both couldn't believe at the number of churches we saw. Literally they were across the streets from each other and next door to each other seems like every other block you'd see 2 or more together.

Ya'll have a fantastic week, God Bless.

Monday to Thursday, 15th to the 18th of August 2011

Oh my, really where has this week gone. It really has just flown by. I can't believe it.

Monday - work was just the same as always, I had orientation with a new server. Was supposed to have 2 but only one showed. Oh well. She's really nice, cute young lady. Got through day 1 and I left work around 3 or so and headed home to get ready from my date with Amanda. I left the house and headed to Lake Worth to meet her at the movie house there. We saw The Help. I have to say that was such a wonderful movie. Reminded me of when I was a little girl in some ways. I told Amanda when we were leaving that the little blonde baby in the movie was me. She said you looked like that, I said yes but that's not what I mean, it "was" me.
My grand parents had a wonderful woman named Ernestine who would come and take care of the house. My grand parents owned a business and my grandmother was the secretary & book keeper so she needed the help especially since my aunt has cerebral palsy. Luckily, neither of my grand parents were bigots or prejudice. I loved that lady. Got home around 11 and Robert was already in bed so I watched one of my recorded shows and was so beat that I didn't get to post my blog because I started to fall asleep and decided I'd better go to bed rather than my usual nodding on the couch. LOL

Tuesday - Got to work around 8:30, got a few things done that needed to catch up. Kayla came in at 10 and we did the menu's and plate presentation and I had her work on the micros. Gave her her schedule for the next week and forgot to have her come back on Wednesday to do her computer work. Bad me. We got busy and I jumped in like I always do and helped get us through lunch. Left work around 4 and headed home to load up the truck with table, chairs and food to go to La Rue's for Scrapkeno. Yes, it's the 3rd Tuesday of the month and it was Keno night. Stephanie, Niki and Kelley arrived and we headed up the road to Rue's. We all jumped in and helped her get set up for the party. Everyone pretty much showed at 7, we all visited, chatted and waited for the chicken to get done. It was really good. We really didn't get started playing until 8. I've had such bad luck the past 2 months not winning a thing I was so excited that I won 2. On the second round one of the got stolen. So I did come home with one. The one I really wanted, I still had to give the box to Niki though, brat. LOL So once again it was after 11 before I got home and Robert was in bed. I was so tired that I didn't stay up much longer and again didn't get my blog posted.

Wednesday - Wow, only 2 more days until my 4 day weekend. Got to work around 8:30 and we had a busy day. Set up a few interviews. Had Mike talk to a guy for a possible grill cook. He liked him, we needed to wait for the background check. As soon as it came I called the guy to come in Thursday morning to go over uniform policy and set up class time. Checked the aps we had and got them ready to call for interviews. Never had time to get to it we were that busy. I didn't get out of work till after 5. Once I got home we just chilled out, thought I'd spend the evening with my honey. He didn't feel to good so he went to bed early and I stayed up for a while. I ended up with an upset tummy so another reason I stayed up a while. But got side tracked and didn't get my blog posted.

So here it is Thursday - work at 8:30, once again we had a very busy day. I sat down with the new grill cook around 9:30. I think he'll be great, he works at Denny's also. Didn't have any time to do what I really needed to do, we had a busy lunch and as soon as that slowed I tried to eat my lunch taking almost 2 hours cause I had to get up and answer the phone, or run do something. Mike & Shawn were both on a conference call so I was running the shop. I had set up interviews for Shawn, he got to the first one before the call and had 4 waiting after the call. The first he passed on to Tina for a cashier and we hired her as well. I even forgot to clock out of ETC at 3 and over to Shift leader until 4. Mike left not long after 4 and then it was Shawn and I, he was finishing up his interviews and I ran the shop. After he finished he kept an eye on the kitchen in back and I watched the floor and then ended up in the window. We got slammed. I didn't get out of work until 8:30 and headed to Niki's to pick up the car adapter so I can use my lap top in the truck on the way to Tennessee tomorrow. Got home around 9 and changed then got all my stuff packed for our trip. We are leaving in the morning for Newberg, Tennessee for our nieces wedding on Saturday. Looking forward to it. We've never been to Eugene & Carrie's(Robert's brother & his wife). I've been to Nashville & Lebanon but they live over in the NW corner of the state. Gonna be a long drive but we'll have a good time.

Till I post again, ya'll have a fantastic weekend. God Bless and keep you

Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 12th, 13th & 14th of August 2011

MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND........

Can I just say I'm not getting older, I'm getting better. What a fabulous weekend I've had. I love my husband, he'd the bestest husband in the Universe. He'd not only a great husband, he's my best friend and in my opinion a wonderful lover. So let me tell you what I've done this weekend.

Friday.....
Slept in a bit, lol, till 8:30. Got up and lazed around for a bit, did some stuff on FB and made my plans for the day. My daddy called me to wish me happy birthday and to see if I was working, he and my step mom, Debbie were coming out to Weatherford and wanted to take me to lunch. So I adjusted my schedule, cause I needed to go to Walmart, the dry cleaners and Albertson's. They wanted to meet around 12:30 at Yesterday's Sandwich shop down off the square. Got dressed and headed into Weatherford. Did my shopping at Walmart, swung into the cleaners and picked up the cleaning and headed to Yesterday's. I didn't know they moved to a larger building a block down. I went in and Dad & Debbie weren't there, so I called and said "Where are you?" "We're at Yesterday's" "Where at?" "In the middle of the room" "No you aren't I'm standing in the middle of the room and you aren't here"
So I'm looking around, "Dad, where are ya'll, where did you park" "We're at Yesterday's right on North Main" thinking that they were at a totally different location. Then I start to think "hmmm, I start looking around, they have an optical illusion, I looked to the back of the building and realized that it wasn't a mirror, as I was about to leave, I tell Dad "you're on the other end of the building, I bet it goes all the way through" Sure enough I walk to the back which is the middle of the building and there was a whole other room with smaller tables and chairs like for an old ice cream parlor. LOL. After talking to Dad & Debbie they thought it was a mirror or kitchen, not realizing it goes all the way through also. As I sat there I realized it used to be one of the antique shops in town, wonder what they did with all the antiques???

We had a nice lunch and visit, great chicken salad and tortilla soup(yes even on a hot day) LOL. After lunch and we went our separate ways I headed to Albertson's to grab a couple of things, mostly my apples then home. Once I got home we unloaded the truck and put away the groceries. Had an argument with my hubby. Which I felt bad about. Hung out around the house the rest of the afternoon till we needed to get ready for our evening out with friends in Arlington. We left the house close to 7 and when we got past the 20/30 split we were driving in the rain. For those of you who may not know(and how you wouldn't surprises me) but we in the state of Texas had not had rain in like 2 months, we are in definite drought status. So to see the rain was such a blessing. I told Robert why can't it be pouring like this over at the house. We stayed in the rain just after the Matlock exit in Benbrook and then just as we got past the bridge at Bryant-Irving the wind was blowing so hard we hit a dust storm from all the construction. Literally wet to dry in the blink of an eye.

We met our friends at Dave & Buster's, never been. Not a bad place, pretty good food, we sat and visited for a while, ate some dinner and then decided to hit the game room. Rene's favorite game is the Deal or No Deal game so that's were we went. She played a round and did ok, then I played a round and again just ok, the third person played, ok, then Jay, Rene's boyfriend played and did pretty good. Then once it got back around to me, I played all the way to the end & I had the winning case with the $500 in it, the machine starts spitting out the tickets(2 pts each) and it keeps going and going, lol, 250 tickets. One of the other guys plays next and he and I both pick the same number for the case and he wins another $500. Jay is freaking out now, "No way". lol I play again and once again $500 and this machine is spitting out these tickets and Jay is freaking out, "We play this game all the time and I've never seen anyone win this much, ever, much less 3 times" LOL, he pulls a dollar out of his pocket and hands it to me and says on your way home buy a lotto ticket, SERIOUSLY, I'll split it with you if you win. LOL What's funny is I told them all I don't gamble cause I never win, I'm such a loser when it comes to gambling that even when we were on our cruise last year Robert and I had gone to the casino and I wanted to play black jack and I was the only player at the table and I was loosing. Of course we all had a lot of fun and laughs, we played a few other games to burn off the money on the game card and Rene cashed in all the tickets, I gave her all of mine, since it was her money we'd been playing with any way and I didn't need any of the prizes they had to offer. LOL

We headed on home and when we got there we'd gotten some rain, Robert checked the gauge and we had gotten about 1/4 of an inch of course the rain cooled things down a lot, it was nice. We hit the sack just after midnight and crashed for the night.

Saturday....
Woke up around 8 and it was still dark out, found out it was still raining and over cast, yeah. Great birthday present. Robert heads to the living room and there sits one of our daughters, he'd walked out in his underwear, thank heaven's he wasn't naked, he comes back to the bedroom and says one of the girls is here, good thing I had something on. LOL, I getting dressed and when I got to the living room there sits Niki, not the daughter I expected. LOL
She'd come over to talk to daddy about her car, she has a mustang and the same thing that happened with Steph's car happened to her's. The seal for the gas tank and the tube that you put the gas into the tank had broken and wanted to know what part she needed to get from the dealership. We hung out for a bit and visited and that's when Robert spilt the beans on what he had planned for me for the day. He had told me the day before to keep my afternoon open for Saturday, we'd need to leave by noon and he'd have me home in time to get ready for our evening out. He tells me we're going to Zero Gravity in Dallas and Glen & La Rue are going with us cause Glen will probably be my activity buddy. I hate to call them rides but for lack of a better word that's what I'll call them. LOL

So at noon we head to Azle to pick up Glen & La Rue and head to Dallas. We get to Zero Gravity and wow, they have 5 different rides and they are wild. Robert told me I was getting the whole package, all 5 rides, a t-shirt and a video of all of it. LOL

Glen and I started off with The Blastoff - their discription is a giant slingshot that shoots you 150 feet into the air, zero to 70 in 1.2 seconds. All I can say is WOW, it was the first one we rode and it's probably a good thing it was the scariest of all. As you sling shot into the air there's a point when the bungee's are slack you feel like you are going to travel forever then it snaps you back and starts to spin and up you go again. Get's the adrenaline really flowing. LOL

Our second trip was to bungee jump, thinking it would be the easiest of all, NOT. LOL I walk out to the edge and the guy counts three, two, one jump, "hmmm, no" three two one jump, no again. Glen says go off backwards, so I ask the guy, can I? He says sure just step over the rope as you turn. So I turned around and again three two one jump and at about 5 lol I sat backwards and off I went. Our minds are not wired to let us fall forward, my heart was pounding so hard as I stood out there facing forward looking down at Robert & La Rue 7 stories below. Turning around backward much easier. Glen on the other hand - literal swan dive off the platform, just like he was diving off a diving board. Definate style.

Next we went to the skycoaster, we kept calling it the superman ride. You fly like superman. The crane takes you up 110 feet in the air and I pulled the ripcord and flying off we went, WOW it was totally awesome, just like being on a giant swing. Ever lay on a swing when you were a kid it's pretty much the same but on a way larger scale. lol.

When we got there we were told that the skyscrapper was not working so we could ride something twice however they got it running. Yeah, the one I really wanted to ride more than any of the others. But our next ride was Nothing But Net. This one takes you up 16 stories up and you sit back into your sling and are lowered below the platform and then the operator pulls the pin and you drop. Amazing, landing into a net, just like a trapeze artist.

Lastly we rode the skyscrapper, yee haw, that was fantastic, 165 feet up into the air. I called it a ferris wheel on steroids. Absolutely the best. After we were done I went to pick out my t-shirt and wait for them to burn my disc and the girls tells me they have bad news, the first ride we went on the video didn't record or something it just wasn't there. So we'd have to ride it again if we wanted. LOL. Well ok, so we rode the slingshot again to get it on record. They thought they had it fixed, apparently it showed it was recording but nothing was there. So we still didn't get a recording of that ride. They said they'd go ahead and put the two singles of Glen from the Bungee & the Nothing but Net on there to make up for it.

Once we got home and played the disc it still didn't have everything there, they didn't have any thing from the superman ride so I called them, the girl who was there earlier was gone, the girl I talked to said "oh just bring it back and we'll fix it" I told her "we live an hour away, I can't just bring it back". so we worked it out that I'd send it back to them and they'll fix it all. So sometime this week I'll send it over, I'll also call and talk to the manager.

We got home around 4:30 and had about an hour to get ready for the night. We had dinner reservations at Terra's (a mediterranean grill) at 6:30. Cindy, Thersia, Glen & La Rue, Kelley & Kim, Penny & Raul and Robert & I had a wonderful evening and dinner. The food there is excellent as was the service. We left around 8:30 and headed to the Hulen area to Main Event to play. I wanted to play laser tag. Glen & I played laser tag and rode their little 2 minute topsy turvy ride. We played some games, Robert drove cars and airplanes lol, we just hung out and had a great time. Everyone was tired from a long day though and Cindy, Thersia, Robert and I were the last to leave and my baby and I were home by 11. His back had been bothering him all day and by the evening it wasn't great so getting home at 11 was good, he got into bed not long after we got home and got some good sleep.

Robert got up around 8 this morning and I woke up but wasn't ready to get up so I went back to sleep till about 9:30. Got up and had a lazy morning. Robert was mowing the yard since we have been watering but he hasn't mowed in probably a month cause it's been so dry there hasn't been much growth, not like if we'd been getting rain.

Around 11 Robert cleaned the kitchen and got the meat ready and the smoker to smoke it. After that he ran to Walmart. I vacuumed and cleaned the kitchen table off and started working on the fruit & veggie trays. We had invited a bunch of people over to celebrate MY BIRTHDAY. Everyone was to come over around 4. Niki & Randy were the first to show up and she started helping me finish up my trays. Stephanie came in next and while I was getting dressed Glen and La Rue showed up. Finishing up some things in the kitchen and Cindy came in, then Thersia, Scotty & Dakota arrived. Amanda and Jason were next and we lined up to fix our plates. As we started eating Dad & Debbie finally arrived and they brought all the fixins for homemade strawberry ice cream. We ate dinner, I showed off my video from yesterday and we showed off the trailer to those who hadn't seen it. The girls got creative with the candles on my cake and we had cake, ice cream and I got to open my cards and gifts.

All in all I had a terrificly, fantasticly, wonderfully, exciting birthday. Thanks to all for everything. I've enjoyed my weekend, oh it will continue tomorrow night with Amanda taking me to see The Help.

Good Night all, God Bless and have a wonderful week.

Wednesday & Thursday, 10th & 11th of August 2011

Wednesday, not a bad day. typical stuff at work, employees coming in to do computer work, a couple of PAR tests. Helped with the lunch rush. Did some paper work. All in all just another day at work. I got home around 4 and chilled out for the evening. Not a very exciting day.

Thursday, my long day at work. Got there at 8:45 and jumped right into all the activity. Had my newest server come in at 9 to do menu's and plate presentation. Got finished just after 11 and helped with the lunch rush, while I helped Elyse(new server) did her tests over the menus. Once she was finished and the lunch died down a bit I got her stared on the micros to learn to ring in orders. We were supposed to have a visit from our new RVP and DM at 11 and they didn't show up till almost 2. It was a great visit. He was very happy with our store, a few minor things to change or fix, but all in all everything was good. I finally got to eat my lunch around 3:15 and around 3:45 Lynda joined me and we got to visit a bit. I was baby sitter again tonight, every Thursday, making sure Mani doesn't do anything to stupid. He really did aggravate me several times tonight. We had a nice dinner rush, nothing to hectic. I stayed out in the dinning room instead of the window tonight. Finished the schedule for next week and got it posted up and left work around 8:15. Oh, around 1 it got very cloudy and super windy and it even rained a bit, evaporated as it hit the ground I think but it was a little bit of a relief from the 100 plus degree weather we've had for 39/40 days straight.

Still trying to decide what I want to do Saturday to celebrate my birthday. I've had several ideas but people keep poo pooing them. I'll figure it out, hopefully tomorrow.

We watched Burn Notice and not long after Robert went to bed I watched a movie called Carriers and now I'm watching Fiddler on the Roof. I love this movie. What's strange is I've seen this movie many many times since I was a kid and tonight it has me in tears. I don't know why. Oh well.

Gonna enjoy my birthday weekend, I don't have to work and Robert is off tomorrow also. We'll do something fun I hope.

God Bless and keep you all.

Sunday, Monday & Tuesday; 7th, 8th & 9th of August 2011

Wow, well let's just say that I've been busy. LOL. Worked all weekend. Sunday worked 9 to 2 and it was a busy day at the crack house. All ran smoothly for the most part, 1 complaint but nothing I couldn't handle. Got home around 2:20 and changed clothes then checked when the new Ape movie was gonna be showing. Robert and I went to see The Rise of the Planet of the Apes at 4 at Weatherford Citylights theater. It was good, loved that they showed Charlton Heston in a bit piece on the tv and that they used his famous get your paws off me line. Don't think it's over as soon as they start the credits. Definite set up for a sequel. After the movie we headed home and vegged for the rest of the night.

Monday got up way early and headed to Arlington for the big meeting. Got to met the RVP, Charlie Austin, I'm gonna love this guy I think, he's all about keeping with company standard and I can't wait for him to get into our store. We had All the GM's and ETC's for the Southwest region I guess, we had all the stores from Oklahoma, Lubbock, Amarillo, Arkansas, Midland and all the stores from around the metroplex. We started at 9 and didn't finish until 3. Some training on a new roll out. A little big of tweaking of the Seat to Eat program. Got home around 4:30. Robert and I just once again chilled, watching tv, playing on our laptops.

Tuesday, got to work 8:15, was supposed to have orientation, she didn't show. Called and left a message never heard from her. Oh well. I checked all the snagajobs and printed them, called them and asked them to come in and fill out CB applications. Set up 3 for interviews, hired one, 2 were first interviews, set one up for a second. Our little bit of a pop I kept an eye on the window. Got caught up on some of my paper work, only some, still have a ton to do but will get there. After the lunch rush was over and people were being cut I had them in my office catching up on their courses and taking PAR tests. Tested 5 people today. Once I got them all done I got to leave around 4:15 and headed home. Robert gave me a wonderful back rub after I got home, I felt like jello when he was done. Got up and fixed myself some dinner, left over smoked hamburger with sauteed mushrooms & onions on a grilled bun. It was good. Watched some of my recorded tv before America's Got Talent came on and just finished watching that. Some good acts, started off a little slow, loved the first group then the next two were ok, the little girls WOW, when she's a bit older she will be a firecracker. Loved Gymkana and the bicycle guy. Fantastic.

So there ya have my last 3 days. Not really alot to tell. Tomorrow is my mommy's birthday. I gotta remember to call.

God Bless you all and stay safe in this heat. Wow like 1980 all over again.

Friday & Saturday, 5th & 6th of August 2011

Friday, what a long day! Got to work at 8 and didn't leave until 8. Busy. Had orientation with what was to be 4 people, found out one took another job and would be there. Started with 3 and the one we really needed to work for us, a grill cook, we had to have him leave. Poor guy, had a misdemeanor and thought that he wasn't on his record due to time served so he put no one the ap and when we did the back ground check it came back a no for hire due to falsification of application. The only recourse is he'll have to wait till January to re-apply and by then it should be off his record. I found out that he'd applied back at the end of May and I had already run a check on him around the 3rd of June. So the company we use if they've done a check with in a 6 month period they don't run it again. My thought was that we probably ran that check like one day before they were to remove it from his record. So I ended up with orientation with a server and a new dish guy. Got them through the video's and into the system. While they watched video's I got in the window and helped cause we had a great lunch rush. After the videos and they signed all their paperwork I got them out of the building and finished getting them into the system. Got to have some lunch around 2:30 or tried to anyway. Had to cook some of it myself and then the fish had to be redone cause the cook couldn't read the ticket and cooked me the catfish when I ordered the cod. God please send us a couple of great, seasoned, knows what they are doing Grill cooks, we are desperate. At 3 I clocked over to shift leader, why I had to SL last night I'll never understand. It was me, Shawn and Mani. Shawn had the back of the house, Mani was supposed to have the front of the house and I had the window. The 3 cooks I had last night are the worst, they have such cocky attitudes and irritate me to no end. Mouthy little punks for the most part, disrespectful. I really hate being there when they are because they get away with anything, managers do not hold them accountable for anything. I will be having a long conversation with Mike on Monday. We had a little bit of a slam and Mani got right in the middle of where I was working and totally screwed the window. Thank heavens he didn't stay long but he's really fairly useless. He's better at telling tall tales and shmoozing the guests. 8:00 couldn't come fast enough for me. Once I left work, I called Lynda to vent and got home around 8:20 or so.

We just hung out and again watched tv, when I got home Robert had smoked some BBQ ribs, which were yummy. Got to bed around 12:30 cause I had to get up early for work this morning.

Got up around 7:30, got a shower, took forever to get my hair fixed, major tangles after shampooing. Got ready and headed to the barrel. Another busy day, this time I ran the dinning room, Fred had the window and Shawn had the back of the house. I had two RS hostesses training with Maria and Amanda and myself. We had two very good hours, one almost 1000 the second just over 1100. Lots of large groups. Did fairly well today. Hopefully we can do the same thing tomorrow but busier.

So I left work at 2 and called Robert he said we didn't have any mushrooms wanted me to stop and get some since he'd smoked some hamburgers for dinner with the kids to celebrate the twins birthday belatedly. Ran to Albertson's bought some apples, mushrooms, limes(cause they were 8 for $1.00) and sliced cheese. Got home to wonderful aroma's emanating from the house. Smoked burgers and home made mac & cheese. All 3 of the girls were here and Randy and about 5 minutes after I got home Mary Lou showed up. We had a great dinner and then we did ice cream cake with the girls, funny because the candle kept blowing out and I tried to turn the ceiling fan off then Robert held up the lighter to re light and it kept going out and then he got it lit and then the girls blew the lighter out instead of the candle. It was funny.

After we ate us girls decided to play boggle, we haven't played boggle together in a couple of years so it was alot of fun. Niki & Randy left around 5 / 5:30 some where in there, Stephanie went to watch recorded tv and Amanda, Mary Lou and I played till about 6:15, Justin called and needed to talk to Robert so they chatted for a bit then I wanted to talk to him to wish him & Audrey happy anniversary, they were driving home so I chatted with him a bit and then with Audrey and when she found out that Mary Lou was here at the house they wanted to talk to her since they didn't talk to her on her birthday. They talked to her for a while and then when I got back on the phone with them they'd made it home and my card was there waiting on them. Yeah, since they had plans to go to dinner tonight. Got to talk to Kali for a little bit, she's so cute and funny. Mary Lou left while I was finishing my conversation with Justin. Amanda hung out a little longer then she left just before 7, Steph was still in the bedroom and she finally left around 8. We watched the family night movie on NBC it was pretty good. Killed time with the news and now we're watching How do you know. It's fairly funny.

So that's been my last two days. Ya'll have a great weekend. God Bless

Wednesday & Thursday, 3rd & 4th of August 2011

Wednesday, a very busy day at work for me. I got to work at 8 and started right away, Fred had a few interviews and Tina had one, we hired 3 and I set them up for orientation for Friday, since it will be my 12 hour day instead of the usual Thursday. One we hired for Dish and since we need an extra pair of hands in dish for the weekend I needed to get him in the system before close of business Friday. So I figured since I already had one person in class I'd place the other 2 there as well. We hired another server and a lady for retail. Fred was the opening manager and Mani was the closer. Since Fred had opened and needed to be back for truck on Thursday before 5 AM I offered to do the Rising Star Meeting since Mike doesn't want Mani doing them. I had 2 Rising Stars (that had been in orientation on Monday) come in to do their computer work. David the new guy for retail , Tina had him observe with Peggy for a couple of hours. Had Alexa come in to do her over due courses, Cody finished his courses and Trisha came in and got her PAR 1 test done. So I was in between my office and the main office and back up to the server alley helping with the window, then back to my office. I was all over the place. I finally got to eat lunch around 2:30 and then all my Rising Stars arrived for the meeting. Had 11 for the meeting. Oh and before 2:30 I managed to get the schedule finished on my part. I left work just after 5 and headed on home. We had a quite evening just watching our shows.

Thursday I took the day off so that I'd have a break and not have to work 12 days straight. Didn't sleep well through out the night, to hot, major hot flashes and I thought I was done. I spoke to soon when I told the dr I thought I was on the down side of menopause. Apparently NOT. Ugh. I woke up around 3 something again just before 5, then three times between 5 & 5:30 because Robert was still in bed and I was afraid he would over sleep, not sure what time he had his alarm set for. He finally got up around 5:30 and got ready for work and I was able to go back to sleep, I did wake up around 7:30 and finally got up about 8. I was going to go to the store early but got involved in a movie and didn't leave the house until almost 11. Went to Rosa's for lunch then to Walmart where I printed some picture collages to send to my Aunt, my Mom and my son. It was our 5 generation pictures that we took in May at my great Aunt's. I made one up for Pat that had pictures of her with Edna, her with my Mom her sister, her with Justin my son and her with Kali. I know she'll absolutely love it. I made one up for my Mom for her birthday this next week with pictures of Kali, the group picture of all of us and the picture of all 5 generations, Edna, Mom, me, Justin and Kalli. Then I made up another of mostly Kali, Kali and me and the group picture to send to Justin & Audrey for their anniversary Saturday. Got their cards and my groceries, checked out and loaded up the truck. While it was cooling off I signed the cards and put the pictures and cards into the photo envelopes, addressed and ready to take to the post office. Headed that away and got the 3 mailed off then headed home to put away the groceries. I got home around 3 and Robert got home about 4:15 and we had about an hour until Mary Lou was to arrive. Robert and I were taking her to dinner at La Choza's for dinner for her birthday since we didn't get to see her on her birthday. She got to the house around 5:30 and we loaded up and took her down the road to the restaurant. We had a very nice visit and as always a wonderful dinner. After dinner we came back to the house and continued our visit. She left and head to her home around 8:30 and then Robert and I watched Burn Notice. Finished that up around 9:30 and just killed time watching Fox 4 news. Oh when we got home from La Choza's I had 3 large boxes sitting on the front porch, I'd been hoping to get them today and when they weren't here before we left I really thought I wouldn't get them. But my pampered chef order finally arrived, so after Mary Lou had left and we watched Burn Notice I unpacked it and separated it into each individuals order. Only one thing missing and that was my pineapple wedger. There was only one in the box and should have been two, someone else had ordered one as well. Once I got everyone elses bagged up then I opened all of mine, Robert says why are you doing that and I said because it's all ours. I had $240 to spend on PC. Of course I did spend a bit, but most of what I got was in the FREE zone. Yeah me. Once I got it all unpacked I loaded a good bit of it into the dishwasher. So there ya have it. Once the dishwasher was done I unloaded and loaded it again. Got my laundry into the wash and watching Much ado about nothing, Great movie.

Ya'll have a great weekend cause I have to work, ugh. Till next time, God Bless

Monday & Tuesday, 1st & 2nd of August 2011

The beginning of a new month. This is my birthday month. Woo who.

Monday I had orientation with 3 newbies, 2 hosts & a retail. Nice group of kids and I can say that cause the oldest was the same age as my oldest. LOL Got them through day one and I left a bit after 2 and went to Walmart cause I was close to empty. LOL. I did buy a couple of 18 gallon totes that were on sale for $4.88. Got home just seconds behind Robert and when we walked in the door you could still smell the wonderful aroma of fajita from the night before. I said that was because he smoked the house up so bad when he cooked them. LOL

It was around 3:30 when we both got home and we got out of our work clothes and I laid across the bed and believe it or not I crashed. I took a 3 hour nap. Robert woke me up just before 7 so I could watch my shows and still be able to get to bed at a decent time.

Watched Eureka(it was funny last night), The Closer (love Brenda - wished it wasn't the last season) then we watched Rizzoli & Isles. After the news and Robert went to bed I watched Alphas and Warehouse 13(another funny show). Got into bed around 12:45.

Got up this morning around 6:30, got a shower and ready for work, started watching the finale of The Bachelorette, I've said all along it would be JP but after the visits with her family I started leaning toward Ben and then she did go with JP. Poor Ben though I felt so sorry for him he just knew she would say yes. But all along I've told Niki it would end up being JP. She probably didn't want to move to California, can't say I blame her, I wouldn't want to live there if it was on a winery. And you all know how I love good wines. LOL

Got to work just after 8 and got a couple of things done before 2 of my newbies arrived to do their computer courses. Cody(new host) actually got there at 8:30 but I wasn't ready for him to get on the computer, so I told him to go and check out Retail, see what all we have.

At 9 Breanna(new host) arrived, got both her & Cody clocked in and then took them on a tour of the building and went over some key things they'll need to know as hosts. After the tour I got them on the computers and headed to help out in the window. We got slammed this morning we had alot of business between 9 and 11:30, very unusual, 3 large groups over 10 in one hour and we only had 4 servers, one grill cook, back up, prep and a dish guy. Mani was the manager on duty and then myself. Maria was hostess and we were hopping.

We finally slowed down a bit and then got another small pop around 12:30. Just after 2 I finally got to eat my lunch. Tina was just sitting down for hers as well so I joined her and we had a nice visit. Cody left just after 2 when he finished his computer work and Breanna wasn't to far behind. After lunch I had a couple things to do with new applicants, called a couple for second interviews. Ran a couple of background checks and then clocked out just after 3 and headed home. Got home around 3:30 and chilled, watched the rest of The Bachelorette and now I'm sitting in the living room watching Robert's news shows. We have O'Reilly one. Go Bill. LOL

Discussing obamacare and how we're gonna have to pay more for our insurance. Robert made an excellent point ---- if BC pills and annual check ups are gonna be "FREE" then there isn't any need to keep putting government money into planned parenthood centers any more, right? There's a budget cut right there.

I'm not a fan of Donald Trump running for President but I wouldn't have a problem with him getting our financial budget back in order. If anyone could do it I bet he could.

So there ya have it, waiting for 8:00 for America's Got Talent. Deadliest Catch finished last week.

Till tomorrow, ya'll have a great week, enjoy hump day. God Bless

Sunday, 31st of July 2011

The last day of the month. What a wonderfully relaxing day. Robert and I just hung out around the house, he got up earlier than I, I just lounged in bed for a while. LOL Robert got the chicken and beef marinading for fajita's tonight. We invited Glen & La Rue over for supper. Most the day we just did nothing. Robert did go out early and finish cementing the pot holes in the drive way. I dusted our ceiling fan and vacuumed our bed room, Stephanie finished vacuuming for me so that I could make my home made salsa and guacamole for dinner tonight. Robert and I watched The tourist - it was really good. Then we watched The next three days - I think that's what it was called, had Russell Crow in it, his wife in prison for a murder she didn't commit and he breaks her out. Good movie as well. Niki & Randy came over around 6, so did Glen & La Rue. Niki & Randy didn't join us for dinner like we thought they might. Robert & Glen were gonna do a little work on Niki's car, they got it done after we ate. She now has air conditioning in her car again. Everyone was gone by 8 and we watched Leverage and Falling Skies, the news-ugh, and then I watched True Blood. So here I sit catching you all up on my wonderfully lazy day and about to head to bed. Ya'll have a great week. God Bless
